Good on you man! I think we all definitely appreciate the apology, no worries over here.Your right guys. I don't mean to be like that. To each their own. To me kids play video games and I don't mean to be condescending. My way is not better than yours. My apologies guys. I do want to be positive member of the forum and not negative.
Broke my MMO cherry with Everquest for PS2.Sorry if I'm late to the party. Does anyone love an old school MMO? I was huge fan of Runescape back in the day! Haven't played it for yonks!
Damn, that last paragraph brought back memories.I play a virtual reality game where I go to work to make $$, then gym, then eat, then find a escort bust a nut in her, rince and repeat
oh wait, thats my real life, lol
back In the day played madden
couldn't play games today too realistic and boring,,I used to like Sega,,,twisted metal,,ghosts and ghouls,,,,golden axe,,look em up on youtube,,that shit was badasss,,toe jam and earl too
Any fans of the old games and consoles need to check out making a Retro Pi. Basically get one of those $40 raspberry Pi computers, a controller, and a big SD card and load up basically every game from the 1990s and a few from the early 2000s.
It’s a fun project and was cool for me to play a bunch of the games I never had from when I was a kid.
A buddy of mine has one set up in an arcade machine. $1800 for the whole set up delivered to his house. It’s pretty sweet, and the kids love it. Has the arcade sticks with 6 button set up per side.Any fans of the old games and consoles need to check out making a Retro Pi. The Wii is a fun console and there's a lot of hacks out there for them to play great games. My brother still has the original Wii and plays it occasionally as it still works.I've been meaning to pick one up forever. I've a got a Wii with the NES and SNES emulators and most of the games with the Wii Classic Controllers.
That sounds badass! I helped a family member make just the basic Raspberry pi, but then he found a USB 2 player arcade joystick at the thrift shop for like $80 or something. We had to update the controller but got it going in the end! Not as cool as an actual cabinet though.A buddy of mine has one set up in an arcade machine. $1800 for the whole set up delivered to his house. It’s pretty sweet, and the kids love it. That's an amazing game. I got it with my ps4 and first it was really boring. After a few months I started playing it again and it turned out really good.Horizon Zero Dawn
Ps 2 was really awesome. But graphics compared... Duuuude worlds... But still an awesome game.I used to love gta san Andreas. Back on q ps2. I would play that shit for hours.
Damnnn... Long time ago. Played it next to world of warcraft, was pretty funny but the graphics were so damn low.Sorry if I'm late to the party. Does anyone love an old school MMO? I was huge fan of Runescape back in the day! Haven't played it for yonks!
I agree with you there. When I first played HZD I was kinda like...hmmm was this a waste of money? I decided to stick with it though and the gameplay was just so smooth, the graphics so good (especially with a custom reshade), and the story was pretty solid. I had ZERO crash problems on PC, but I have new hardware from Feb 2020.That's an amazing game. I got it with my ps4 and first it was really boring. Haha yeah. I have it on ps4 and ye like 7 months after I said "damn I don't like that game" I was "This game is so good and I love the story". It's really lovely designedI agree with you there. Like a lot of folks here, life takes up much of my time but I like playing when I'm able. Takes me forever to get through even the shorter games but I find it to be a satisfying hobby when I'm able.
I never understood the kind of people that shit talk gamers yet they themselves may spend crazy amounts of hours glued to tv or movies, being mindlessly entertained (which I'm not bashing totally, I do occasionally). I mean, at least games make you use parts of your brain some usually may not, hand/eye coordination, platforming skills, puzzle solving, etc.
I currently have 180ish hours in on Xenoblade Chronicles. And I've been playing it for 11 months when I get a little time or can't sleep.
Not a fan of online multiplayers. Because people suck. The only one I got into was Friday the 13th but got burned out after a while.
Some of my faves through the years:
The Uncharted series
Fallout 3, NV, 4
Many of the Final Fantasy games
Anything Metroid
Anything Castlevania
So yeah lol, and 'Metroidvania's'
Anything Legend of Zelda
GTA 3-5
A bunch really but yeah, I like getting into a good game when time allows.
Oooof, that sucks. I never tried Xenogears but always heard good things.I always meant to play the Xenoblade games. Played Xenogears on PS1 back in the day and really liked it. Never beat it because the last disc was scratched and would freeze on the same cutscene every time.
Spent hoursssssssss on that thing. Had a character that was highly ranked for a few years. 99 everything. Those were the days. Some of those RuneScape forums were awesome. Funny enough, it’s because of my experience on those forums that I looked for bodybuilding/weightlifting/AAS education type forums and found meso back as a young teen.Sorry if I'm late to the party.
