Another Reta thread….

I’ve read several threads on dosing and sides. Coming from semaglutide and then Tirzepatide, I was told from a buddy of mine to try out Reta. I ordered a 30mg vial and was told to start out at .5-1mg per week. I know 2ml of bac will fit, but how accurately dosed would ~7 units be to use for 1mg? TIA

Edit*Forgive my ignorance as I’m new to the peptide game for the most part lol. If I can fit 3ml of water then it’ll be 5 units of water for .5mg. I’m assuming if I get .5ml syringes then I can dose it accurately?

You’re on the right track. If your vial is 30 mg and you add 3 ml of bac water, then each 0.1 ml (10 units on a 30-unit insulin syringe) will equal 1 mg. That means 5 units is 0.5 mg and 10 units is 1 mg. So yes, with 0.5 ml syringes you’ll be able to measure it accurately enough.

If you only added 2 ml, then each 0.1 ml (10 units) would equal about 1.5 mg, which makes dosing a little trickier. That’s why most people go with 3 ml for easier math and clean numbers when drawing.

And don’t worry about being new to peptides, everyone starts somewhere. Just double-check your math before you pin so you’re not accidentally blasting more than you intended.

You all pinning once or twice a week? My buddy recommended 2x

From what I've gathered less frequent administration exacerbate side effects but also makes it more potent in appetite suppression.

I started with 1mg once a week, then went to e5d then 3 and currently eod. I reached 1,8mg eod but sides were too much and i backed off. I would be a little hesitant to pin a dose like 4mg+ all at once tbh.

Some guys do it all the way up to 12mg though, i have some slight GI distress, sleep issues and elevated RHR already from 1mg eod so i guess I'll never find out how a bolus dose affects me.

i just started Reta at .5 mg per week, i did the whole .5 mg this week , next week ima do .25mg on Monday and .25mg on Thursday , again im only experimenting with low doses for better bg control, trying to get a fasted insulin under 90 lol and hopefully get a better fasted insulin test when i retest.

I can fill my 3ml vials with 3.6ml, doing that for my H36 vial. Thus if u do a 3ml dilution, 1mg is basically 10units on an insulin syringe

Hopefully it helps, based on my research Reta usually shines in the BG glucose department on higher doses, Retatrutide does help fasting glucose since it has GLP-1 and GIP activity, but it also lightly stimulates the glucagon receptor. At low doses that can blunt the pure blood sugar effect a bit

With Retatrutide, low doses (like 0.5-4 mg) do produce glycemic improvement (HbA1c, total glucose), but the amount of fasting glucose drop is smaller / slower and often overshadowed by higher doses in the published results.

But again I've seen shit that doesn't happen in clinical trials, just wanted to give my two cents on the subject, but ofc ur testing it rn so hopefully it helps u to push below 90.

first morning below 90 fbg, started on Monday , can't be that effective yet ? orrr can it? ymmv

How do you like it compared to tir and sema?
Semaglutide absolutely sucked for me. Terrible headaches and even worse appetite. I know it’s for appetite suppression, but I had hell even eating half of my normal portions which aren’t big. I liked tirz, but it doesn’t seem to control my appetite as much. Only 2 weeks in on Reta at .5mg 2x a week and it seems to allow me to eat fine and curbs cravings, but at this rate it’s probably just placebo due to it being week 2.

Don't be surprised if your BG numbers are high or don't change much on Reta. My regular fasting BG even when I was a fat ass was around 85. Fast forward to being on Reta for 6 months, losing 50+ pounds of fat and having done daily fasted cardio 6-7 days a week and eating less than 100g of carbs a day the whole time my fasting glucose is always 95-100. I haven't been on GH for quite a while and even when I was my doses weren't very high.

Other guys have reported the same thing. I don't think it's possible I'm less insulin sensitive than when I started considering all that. I've heard it's something to do with the glucagon mechanism that causes your BG to look higher despite insulin sensitivity actually improving but who the fuck knows.
