I began taking androgel-5 exactly one week ago. I immediately felt "different", light headed and sensed my blood pressure had increased (having borderline high bp, I easily recognize when this becomes an issue). I decided to give it some time, recognizing that my body needed to adjust to the change in test. levels. As I suspected, after a few days the strange feelings went away. My muscles felt as though more blood was flowing through them, kind of like you feel after a good work out. Sex with my wife was great and I felt as though my purple helmeted warrior was more sensitive than before. My bp, which had, in fact, gone up, seems to have leveled out. Things were going great! However for the past three days, I have noticed these pleasant changes have gone away. I feel pretty average again.
Is this a common reaction at the beginning of TRT? My doctor (GP) initially scheduled me for a 5 week follow up, but after doing my research on this forum and reading Swale's protocol I called my doctor and asked that he order follow up blood work 14 days after initiating treatment. I am not sure if my gp is the appropriate person to administer this treatment. Should I seek the advise of an endo to monitor, share Swale's protocol with my gp, or what?
My brother-in-law is a pharmacist and is adept at compounding. I haven't discussed this with him yet, but can the same effects of andogel be achieved via a compounded test. cream?
Finally, I noticed some folks on this forum (particularly those who seem to be inclined to also take steroid cycles) are very interested in getting their docs. to also write scripts for HCG. Did I misunderstand or is there some additional anabolic, as opposed to androgenic, benefit to taking HCG in tandem with androgel? I am not inclined to take steroids, but wouldn't mind increasing the anabolic properties of androgel if it can be done so legally and, more importantly, safely. Why not benefit in the gym if possible? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
