amp opener

I never used amps how do you open them? do you snap them or do i need to buy an opener and where can i get one thanks

Use a small file, or a sharp knife might work to scribe a line at neck of the amp, then just simple break it off.. It's very easy to crush them so becareful bro..

Use a pen cap......score the amp with a nail file. Put the pen cap on the top of the vial. wrap the bottom in toliet paper and apply pressure to the pen cap. Works everytime.

i think amp openers are the best. they are cheap and make it easy. you can get them at alot of different sites, but i use gearbox. at the top of this page there is an advertisment for a company called Androusa, why don't you try that?? i've never used them, but they seem to be a sponsor of this site.

Agreed. After slicing myself on a crushed ICN, I got an amp opener. Now I'll never open an amp without one.

Just snap it off with your fingers....don't apply enough pressure at the base so as to NOT crush it.....make sure you clean your amp with alcohol and after opened turn it upside down and draw the gear out. Don't stick your needle in the amp with the amp upright and dull your needle on the bottom of amp, turn it upside down....and no the fluid will not pour out.

Are you telling him to open his amp, then turn it upside down? Then draw the gear from what, the floor? Are you confusing amps w/vials?
At first I though you might be suggesting to pull the plunger all the way out of the syringe and pour the gear from the amp into the butt of the syringe. But you weren't, were you?

Or am I just confused?

Supposedly there is enough surface tension that the oil won't come out (amp)
I never tried this... no need to I always use a different needle to suck and inject

Sounds nice, except for physics dictates that you have to have as much pressure on the bottom as the top, or else you just spin it around.

Guys I've opened well over 3 or 4 thousand amps and never have I scored and never have I crushed one. And....everytime...yes...I do turn the amp upside down.No the fluid inside is not gonna pour out if you make a clean break they ARE made to be used just that way.No I'm not confusing amps with vials.
