Ammonia inhalants

I used them once before when me and a former training partner attempted this:

Worked well and I wouldn't mind using them for certain things (high-intensity techniques on legs that last a long time) but if the goal is to use them during strength movements on a regular basis it might be ill-advised since emotional arousal can increase systemic fatigue (not even joking, you can minimize fatigue by going into your heavy sets with as little hype as you need to get it done, this might be a better choice if the athletes goal is strength vs size).

Hospital pharmacies carry them if you want to buy them locally, they come in break-off sticks and are meant as reflex stimulants for people with Parkinsons.

I really wouldn’t use them for anything but 1-3RM sets. Overuse is definitely not good. Keep em for that extra kick when it really matters; meet/comp/or a set or two a week.

Never used them, but I can't stand heavy chemicals. Breathing them in, on my skin, etc.

Just gut everything out and go.

But I also spent a long time working through adrenaline dumps when I was fighting. So it's always kind of been the enemy anyway.

I never made the connection of "ammonia" salts. I grew up on a farm and daily walked through hog pits full of piss and shit. I'm talking knee high type shit and piss mud mixture. I always remembered how fucking bad it smelled. The first whiff I got of an ammonia salt, i was like LMAOOOOOOOOO this the same shit I had to deal with for 18years. So not only does it hype up my CNS, it also pisses me tf off and gives me even more of a boost.

Did you post the wrong video? I only watched like half of this but I can't imagine anyone needing ammonia caps for 4 plate reverse band hack squats lol

He makes dude smell it after a shitload of reps to bang out a few more. He looked like a stroke was imminent lol

I mean, I don’t think anyone needs it, but the guy in the video Amit Sapir seemed to benefit from it. If a champion Olympic weightlifter and raw powerlifter who had multiple world records as well as pro BB’er finds a set challenging, I’m going to take a guess and say it’s pretty challenging.

I bought a bulk box of 100 on amazon a few months back. Maybe use a few a month. My Mon/Fri schedule has me in the gym @ 4AM, can't say it improves much beyond the sensation pissing me off first thing in the morning. I guess in a way that's a pro...

I guess so, but fuck....using reverse bands on a leg press kinda seems like putting training wheels on a tricycle, ya know? Lmao
