AminoX: Decent BCAA?

Decided to jump on the BCAA train and pulled the trigger on BSN AminoX. I know that sufficient protein intake generally alleviates the need for BCAA supplementation, but I'm on a calorie deficit to shed some unwanted pounds and am definitely not packing in the protein like I used to.

I lift 5-6 days per week and the reports of speedier recovery appealed to me. This stuff had great reviews on Amazon, but the reviews seem mostly to be from runners and casual gym-goers.

Any BB'ers or powerlifters used this and have reviews - good or bad? I plan to take two servings daily until I get to the BF% I'm after and can go on a bulk again.

Thanks for any input.

Amino x is good, but that six star workout fury you need to toss lol.

Ever since six star got caught up selling under dosed protein by a large margin I can't support that brand. Luckily they lost the lawsuit and some people got their money back up to 300$ but shady company.

Thanks for the feedback, bro.

I'm down to the last few scoops of the PWO and don't think I'll be using one again for a while. The Six Star definitely wasn't anything special, but it at least didn't taste like absolute shit, lol!

I've come to realize that I've become more sensitive to stimulants than I used to be, so I'm basically looking to go the BCAA and creatine route for a while pre/post workouts to see how far I can get with it.

If you want a rush of energy load up on carbs for pwo.

Mix your aminos with karbolyn 50-100grams and you will be pumped up ready to lift. It's how I roll lol.

Hell yeah, just looked it up and already dig that it's sugar free, I'll have some on order before the night's up! I'm trying my damndest to cut down on sugar. Never realized just how much of a pain in the ass it is...

Let me know what you think when you try it. I always get huge pumps mixing amino and karbolyn and lots of energy obviously from the carbs lol.

Quick update. It's still too early to determine the efficacy of the AminoX but I do enjoy drinking it twice a day because it tastes awesome! I've hit the weights as hard as I normally do and have a little soreness the next day, as I normally do, but no miraculous change... not that I was expecting that. Again, I dig the taste, so getting in the recommended dose isn't a chore at all. Almost like a tart Gatorade.

Also, @Roger rabbit, the Karbolyn came in yesterday, so I'll be mixing the two as a PWO today before I workout. It's leg day too, lol, so I could use the added energy/motivation! Thanks again for the recommendation.

Anytime man! Let me know how the leg day went using the karbolyn!

Maybe just a placebo, but I got two extra sets of squats and walking lunges in today. Just didn't feel nearly as fatigued after the fourth set, so I figured why the hell not? Legs also don't feel like useless sacks of jelly right now, though I can definitely feel that they got worked hard.

Looking forward to seeing if this carries over to other workouts!

It will man. Love that karbolyn! Mix it with 10grams of l-arginine and feel the pump.

AminoX is not bad, but I think AllMax Aminocore gives you the best bang for your buck and more bounce for the ounce! ;)

In Canada we have a place called Canada protein that sells bulk BCAA and I can't tell the difference between it or Allmax that I use to drink. In the States you have a place called BulkSupplements.com | Pure Bulk Supplements & Nutrition Powders

I've heard good things about their products also

Canada protein is da bomb! Always buy my protein from them. Infact just placed an order today. Their BCAA is good too, but I go with AllMax Amino cuz its almost 2x dosed/serving.

They just recently added bulk BCAA. When it was 1000gramn only Allmax was cheaper. I might be wrong but Allmax is a pain to find on sale. He'll ya can't beat 11lbs of protein for $120

Thanks for the suggestions, guys! I'll be using the AminoX for a while, but will definitely give those others a look when I start running low.

The missus randomly picked up some creatine powder mixed with BCAA's at a local grocery store yesterday (Body Fortress, I think?) so I'm thinking of taking a scoop of that before and after workouts with the karbolyn, and taking the AminoX in the morning. Haven't really decided yet, but I did want to start adding creatine to the mix. The Body Fortress stuff has a weird taste to it, so time will tell if I'll be able to drink that everyday.

Not trying to hijack OP haha but I can't remember how much I use to pay for Allmax do you think this is a better deal? @Nissan

Buy BCAA Powder (Branched Chain Amino Acids) & Capsules - Canadian Protein
Well with the bulk BCAA added not a huge diff overall..
Aminocore is on sale on Supplementsource for $55 - 111 servings ( a little over 3 months supply). Each serving is 8gms of BCAA in 3.6: 2.5: 2/gms ratio.
Canada Protein is 5gm/serving in 2.5: 1.5: 1.5 ratio but has ~ 140 serving.
