Hey everyone,
Not totally sure if this is the right section to post in, so apologies if it should be somewhere else.
I’ve got some Bayer Testoviron Enanthate ampoules and I’m planning to transfer them into a sterile multi-use vial for easier dosing. I’ve done this kind of thing before with other ampoules, so I’m familiar with the process and do my best to stick to good sterility practices. That said, I know Testoviron only contains Benzyl Benzoate (BB) and no Benzyl Alcohol (BA), which has me second guessing a bit.
Since the whole transfer process does carry some contamination risk and the vial will obviously be punctured multiple times. I was thinking of adding a small amount of BA, just for its preservative/antimicrobial effect. I was considering a basic amount, like 1% BA.
Just wondering if anyone else has done this, or knows if it’s appropriate to add BA to a pharma oil like Testoviron? Would appreciate any input or advice on this.
Thanks in advance!
