Accutane permanent cure?

I just did the not-so-recommended thing and started reading Reddit. I am panicking. There are people there reporting getting rhabdo from taking Accutane while lifting.

I've had to cut my workout today because the pain was unbearable.

I'll just stop the computer and go out for a walk. And I'll lower the dose to 80mg and reassess.

Thanks for the reply.

Saw a videos with young girl on accutane, who were in to 'Olympic lifting' - she lost all her explosiveness on treatment, so it definitely messes with the elasticity/mobility of the joints (in some cases).....

I've been on Accufine for the last 10-ish days (I started with 100mg. dose). Everything is going okay, and lips are dry, which is an easily fixable issue. But I have joint pain, which wasn't here before starting the isotret.

Could I be having a Reddit moment and imagining it (I highly doubt it, since I have had to lower the weight when lifting, that's how much it hurts)? I haven't started taking anything else in the meantime, that's the main reason I'm pointing towards the isotret being the issue. I mean, I am definitely in pain..

Has anyone else gone through or is going through something similar?

Edit: yeah, I'll lower the dose to 80 and assess. On the question, why did I start with such a high dose? Pure impatience.
Yeah, I think it made my lower back worse. Chiropractic, GLOW, and a little Deca (50mg every 4-5 days) seems to be helping.

I'm dealing with this as well. Hip, back, neck, both shoulders. It's like any joint that's ever given me issues is messing me with me again. What's weird is that they vary in how much they bug me. My neck and shoulder got to the point I was having a hard time sleeping. That eased up a little, but then my hip and back started bugging me so bad that it affected walking. That eased up and then both shoulders started messing with me. It feels like a preview of what I imagine very elderly people frequently live with every day.

I'm hoping just staying at the same dose for the remainder of my run will eventually cause all of this joint pain and extreme dryness to settle down.

Recently got prescribed topical Aklief for my "trunk acne" (triceps, shoulders, chest).

My acne is not extreme, benzoyl peroxide 1-2x per day is keeping it at bay, but I wanted to actually get rid of it so got prescribed this.

Anyone have a good experience with it? It's a 4th gen retinoid and the latest retinoid to be developed (2019).

Also I have some Accufine 20 mg gels, enough for a half course, would it even be worth it? As I'm already using tret on face + Aklief on my body.

Don’t go on there. Everybody is an effing lunatic — get dry tops of hands and think they have AIDs. It’s embarrassing. Most of the people on there need SSRI’s and therapy, not accutane.

I need to dig up the study where they actually studied certain supplements for side effect mitigation. If I recall correctly, EPA/DHA and L-Carnitine were two of the big ones. I actually went above and beyond and began dosing the EPA/DHA with a highly concentrated fish oil in the 5-6g ED range. It helped! Injectable L-Carnitine has also been added in and seemed to further benefit. Lastly, I’m taking NPP and that has brought all of the joints back to life.

Justin Shier (ifbb pro) mentioned stopping accutane around the 5 month mark because he could barely hack squat 2 plates towards the end of his iso cycle. It was said on Fouad’s podcast many years ago, but stuck in my mind as I was just beginning my journey.

EVERYONE, do yourself a favor and try not to overly read into side effects!! Remember, correlation does not always equal causation.

When I did my cycle I found that increasing my hgh dose helped alot. hgh does however increase sebum production, so I'm not sure if that reduces some of the benefits that accutane brings, by drying everything out.

I had some joint pain in the elbows, but it has gotten 90% better over a couple of weeks

Literally, the main reason I didn't start earlier is that I thought that this is something mega giga hyper super duper dangerous and should be done with medical supervision. I've stumbled upon some Reddit posts and concluded that it ain't for me. BUT, I also stumbled upon this thread on here and got curious and read through all of it, and it couldn't be farther from the truth.

Yeah, I am in pain. Curiously, my elbows are inflamed; I've never had any issues with them prior. I'm currently taking 80mg a day, and, if we exclude the muscle pain, nothing else bothers me. My nose is congested with blood, and my lips aren't even dry anymore(well, just a bit). I cannot think of any other side effect (knock on wood).

I did some digging, and people recommend chondroitin + MSM + Hyaluronic acid + high-dose fish oil, and L-carnitine, as you mentioned. I'm currently waiting for my L-carn to land, so I can make myself a vial so I can start pinning. I went out yesterday and bought the previous things and have started taking them, hopefully they'll do their job.

But overall, it's manageable.

New side effect unlocked. 6/10 of my fingertips are dried and cracked near the fingernail bed lol. it's painful typing this :D
So I did a round as a teen and this was all I remembered about it. I would get these little pustules in the corners of my fingers at the top of my nail in each corner. They were miserable. Hoping that doesn't happen this round.
