Was mopping the floor and a pop. Turns out I fracture my fifth metatarsal on my right foot. It has been about 2 weeks now of sitting on my ass and depression has me. Generally I am not the type of person to share but if someone has wise words I could use them right now. Feeling rather old and this does not help. Doing a simple chore and now I am not walking for I do not even no how long.

Go back to the doctor tomorrow for another x-ray to see if it is healing or if I should just do the surgery. Will continue to update how this goes.

Man, I feel for you. I've dealt with sesamoiditis and a mortons neuroma but never that. I'm so active I'd be crushed.

Is there not a boot you can wear to allow you to move without further injury?

They said cast for 5 weeks. I said no.

Seeing someone who is willing to do surgery tomorrow. Much like you @T&H I am way to active for this. I am going crazy.

Sorry to hear that amazing how we can spend our whole lives dosing risky things just to end up getting hurt by a mundane task...
Are you running any peptides or anabolics to speed the recovery process?

No @Leg_locker I have not added anything. I am currently just TRT.

Any suggestions or good reading on the subject I would appreciate.

and yes, really suck that mopping is what took me out. Insane.

After your doctor appointment if surgery is the route you end up going stay on trt untill after the surgey is complete then you could run low dose anavar with BPC 157 and tb 500
iv had a friend facture his femur after a bad land in jump training he ran 20mg/ed 200mg/w deca and the doc asked him what he was doing BC it was the fastest he'd lever seen a leg break heal.

( I get your not a 70year old woman but shows deca increases BDM)

Dam, i feel you but you can do upper body for that time.

It is not fun, but also makes you now appreciate your being able to move.

Would the surgery speed ip healing time?

Not understanding if a cast for 5 weeks heals injury, how long would the surgery take?

I will be hitting the upper body really hard.

Cast for 5 weeks then they check. Average person is 12 weeks no mobility without the operation. Plus high chance of needing the surgery after the cast. The area the Jones Fracture sits at gets low blood flow. Retarding healing.

If you do the operation it is 6 weeks until weight baring again.

I get the operation on Wednesday next week.

Ok nice, that is a solid difference.

Geez that is tough. I hear you though.

Remember cross education. Which i myself am trying to figure out if that really works well. The act of working your one side will grow or maintain the opposite. Is the idea behind that.

@jJjburton Thank you. Really need some positive information. Mentally this is brutal.
Exercise for me is so much more of a mental stress relief than anything. I totally hear you.

You could also if you have access, do the arm bike for cardio, or that endless rope pulling loop machine. To keep your cardio up, like MWF cardio, and do upper body weight lifting Sun,Sat,Tues,Thurs, so you are always in the gym atmosphere, and keep on a workout routine. Since sometimes starting up the routine again is the hard part. Even if you go SUPER light, it still helps mentally.

That way you are also in the gym, and then when you are home sitting around you can tell yourself you are in “recovery” mode and focus on diet, since you at least have a workout to recover from, instead nothing at all.

You are almost there, the time goes by, and youll be back in it at no time.
