2200+ Gym Total. Road to 2300 @275 AMA

I’m sure you do your own programming now, but interested to hear which authored program you found the most useful in the past.

Lol. After that, let’s take a whack at the elephant in the room... what’s your typical cycle look like?
I’ve actually always done my own programming. Probably not the smartest thing, however auto regulation mixed with linear progression has worked best for me. I do tons of accessories and hypertrophy as well.

Cycles have ALWAYS been minimal until recently... my last bulk was as followed (this pushed me into the 280s from the 240s)

800mg T
600mg Deca
600mg EQ
75mg Anadrol daily (25mg in the am, 25 pre workout, 25 before bed)
Arimidex as needed. Generally 1mg weekly.
Only lasted 10-12 weeks before my body weight was too heavy and I had troubles sleeping/breathing.

Yes I cycle off completely- I believe that’s the best way to do it. Currently on the heaviest cycle I’ve ever been on and my strength is skyrocketing.

Weekly doses are
1050mg T
700mg NPP
12.5mg superdrol (inj)
50mg Tbol
25mg Proviron
Arimidex as needed. (Generally 1mg weekly again)

Those are both the heaviest cycles I’ve ever taken. Previously never gone over 600mg T or 1g weekly of combined compounds.

What kind of hypertrophy are we talking here?
Just work on weak/small or problem areas on your SBD?
Or specifically to build the mass to make your new weight class?

Can you provide an example of what you'll do hypertrophy on to assist on... let's say DL?

Ok I’m in , let’s start at the beginning.
How did you get where you are?
When did you start training? When do you actually start doing meets? When did you start using gear? How big/small were you in the beginning? What was your strength like back then?

@Silentlemon1011 I come from a bodybuilding background- my ideology was in order to be stronger as a natural lifter was to get bigger muscles. Obviously that’s not necessarily true. Recently it’s been more of a split between my big 3 lifts as well as 3 hypertrophy days. Just to grow and enjoy training more so than treat it like a job. Sometimes it’s nice to get a pump. Focusing on my weaknesses is generally what I will do for volume- Deadlift examples could be light deficit beltless pulls for reps, seated good mornings, tons of hamstring work etc.

@Perrin Aybara I reached 405/315/495 in high school. Most likely Not up to powerlifting standards since I only started powerlifting recently. 495/405/585 was in college. I believe I was 21 when I pulled 635ish.

@Worf I was always a skinnier guy, 170ish at 6’2. Started lifting when I was around 13-14. High school my lifts were 405/315/495, college was when I broke into 495/405/585. I believe my numbers were higher when I graduated. Started gear when I was 22 or 23. Very basic cycles, test only, test and var. etc. slowly adding in compounds to find out what worked for me, cycling off properly, giving my body proper time to readjust. First meet was after my first or second cycle. I was brand new to powerlifting and my friend had mentioned it to me. Ended up out lifting everyone there and had a mid 1700 total.

Have you always had good gear tolerance or did it take you many years to build up to those doses? Or are you just biting the bullet with the sides? Has coming off completely always something you've done?

You're over 2.3 grams on both those cycles you listed out so how are you stating that you're not doing over 1 gram?

He said those 2 cycles are the largest he’s done, and that beforehand he never went over 1G combined.

-With the other questions asked already...How did 600 EQ treat you? I ran 600 right before Covid but had to stop as soon as it ramped up...I was told, though, that 600 EQ was low, and 1G is necessary to see any decent results from it.

I did 700 and the strength gains were good and the endurance. Tissue gains don't happen until a g +. Also it was bold cyp so 700 wouldve been a little higher eq dose. Never gave me a good mental feel- some anxiety and disconnection

@CompoundLifts31 These are the largest cycles I have ever ran. Previously never gone over 1g. I am aware these are over 1g currently.

@Ryan owen I guess I’ve had a good tolerance. Never really needed an AI etc, however I keep it in hand and have started noticing sides.

@NovaFlex I absolutely love EQ however my BP is something I need to watch closely with it. One of my best cycles was simply Test/EQ and I had great results.

@Rival food consumption has never been an issue for me, however I do let my outside life/mood affect my diet. There will be days when I struggle to eat 1-2 meals total. While others I can eat 8+ large meals no problem. I don’t count calories, I probably should and would most likely go much further than I am now. IMO I train to enjoy it. Once you get super strict etc it becomes less enjoyable. I feel dieting is the same way, if I crave something I try my best to find out what it is I’m craving and find a healthier alternative. TLDR I don’t count calories and try my best not to.
