2015 Silverado - Issues Starting

Jump the starter with a wire and key on accessory position..if it starts its probably the ignition wired switch in the steering column. Or the keyed ignition switch cylinder. Also look under your brake pedal and press in brake switch button..they act up in the heat sometimes. The truck won't start if button is acting up. You can test it by unplugging it and jumping it with a paper clip. It's just a ground. You complete the ground pressing on the brake pedalir by jumping the two wires on the connector.

You can look up youtube vids on how to jump a starter. Not saying the starter is bad cuz you just got a new one but by jumping the starter you can confirm it's working and that you may have an issue to where the starter isn't getting power from the ignition switch or the keyed ignition cylider or... because the brake pedal is not hitting the safety switch.

All three of these things can make it to where the starter doesn't get power intermittently. I see there is a recall on your year model with the brake safety switch it has to do with something coming loose up under the brake pedal. I bet you could get the dealership to look at it for free

Replace A/C relay.

And get a new battery. New batteries today are absolute garbage that need to replaced once every two years or even once a year. All my vehicles eat batteries now. I've been up and down this road before and it's usually the battery being defective or something like an A/C relay. Before you drive yourself insane, buy a new battery, even if you have a new battery.

And buy a NOCOBOOST so you can jumpstart your vehicle on your own. They are a life saver.

I work at an auto shop an have seen those years chevy bad ground cable from batter. I would replace both ground and positive cables off battery. With oem ones .. a new starter did not fix the one I was working on something was wrong in the cables.
