Shoulder Surgery's/Road to Recovery

I decided to start a thread about my upcoming shoulder surgery/surgeries. Yes Two shoulder surgeries are on my horizon, the first one Being this Wednesday 11/19/2025 , Rotator Cuff "Re-Repair" for the Right shoulder with a mesh implant as a spacer of sorts since the tear is considered "Massive" @4.5 cm , its retracted quite a bit because of the re-tear, They have to remove the old anchors and shave the head of the humorous so that this mesh implant can anchor to and form a better structure when i am healing.
I have two mirror image Rotator cuffs tears of the supraspinatus and infraspinatus in each shoulder stemming from a car accident in 2022 where i was T-Boned by a car doing 65+ mph, i fractured L1-2 at the facet joint also , but for the next three years i was pounding away in the gym not knowing my rotator cuffs were both torn, i was just not understanding why my shoulders hurt so bad and Alll my pressing movements weren't moving the direction i wanted , I finally got an mri of the shoulders (1at a time do to insurance) if you know the process you have to get xrays first then you can get your mri, slow process , but now we have confirmed that both shoulders are torn the same , ugghhh fml,
As far as recovery goes , 6-9 months for full recovery, BUT, with the help of "Hgh/Peptides" i have a feeling that will be drastically reduced. I will be doing @6 mg of Bpc157 daily and @6 mg of Tb500 "frag" , @5 ius of Hgh daily, Of course the collagen peptides etc, higher protein at @1.5-2 g per pound of bw, and i have my ice sling for shoulder ready , since i have had this done on the Right shoulder in 2018 i know the slow process of recovery with this type of injury and hopefully this is over before i know it ,,, Because then i have to do the Left shoulder, so my traing is really put on the fritz , i will be doing legs of course while i cannot train upper body , i just have to be easy and not over tax my "immune system" with trying to heal from surgery and leg days , lol,,,, Anyway i figured i would start a thread on my Road to Recovery 2026 . Any advice or recommendations are always welcome and appreciated, Thanks Ya'll

Recovering from a shoulder related surgery myself. 6mg of peptides daily but only 5IU GH? There's far more data on GH being helpful in recovering from such a thing. Personally I'm on 28IUs. Only for a short period of time though. Excess GH can cause scar tissue build up I think. Still 5IU is nothing.

Btw shoulder surgery is easily the worst thing I've had to recover from and I've done them all.. Gyno, hernia (twice), knees both..... You can't do anything after a shoulder surgery.. Except legs.

Absolutely, and who doesn't need to work more on there legs, EVERYONE needs better legs,

Everything went well in today's surgery,
Hopefully recovery goes to plan. I myself have considered getting surgery to repair a torn MCL/ACL in my right knee that I put off for years (tore it when playing football as a teen) as was too proud to do so.

Good luck on recovery. But i find diligences woks better then luck from my experience.
My first shoulder surgury i had 2 rotators( infraspinatus, supraspinatus) reattached after tearing them from the bone and a ruptured biceps repaired. Was back in the gym and work in a week working out my torso and 3 appendages the best i could. Ate healthy lost little muscle recovered way ahead of schedule. Did my daily rehab exercise and stretched multiple times a day. Did it all naturally.
Years later had the other shoulder replaced followed the same plan. Back to the gym and work in about a week. Ate healthy. Was on TRT and 2-3 i.u.of GH. Did daily rehab exercise as soon as i could started stretching hours after the surgury while still i the hospital, stretched several times a day throughout the recovery. Recovered well ahead of schedule.
Staying active and eating well seem to be 2 big driving factors for good recovery from my experience.

Pain is manageable and being left handed isn't, lol , i am thankful i bought this cryo cuff its nice to have ice water flowing through this cuff strapped to my shoulder, that and my appetite being in full blown hunger mode ,i have just been eating like a maniac , i appreciate all the responses and well wishes , will keep current on progression check ins....

Speedy recovery brother! I guess eventually I'll be in the same spot too, for now trying to not make it worse.
I think doing db side lateral s was what really aggravates my rotator cuffs, and i was slinging 35 lbs wondering why it was hurting so bad, lol I didn't know my cuffs on both shoulders were torn for 3 years,

{Update},,, Saturday afternoon. I was getting dressed tweaked my shoulder in a weird way heard a pop sound and pain increased to the region in the front of my shoulder, so I went to the ER where they did CAT scan and x-rays with nothing showing on those because if I did pop a anchor, it probably wouldn't show up on those kind of imaging. It would be more of a soft tissue damage so I will contact the surgeon on Monday and go from there , it was reassuring though that the anchors are in place in the bone, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they are still in place in the tendon if that makes sense anyway, I'll keep everybody posted. Ice is my best friend right now.

youre gonna come out fine. i got a good feeling. i had a complication too and now im walking around with a catheter and a piss bag but im gonna stay positive for us both

I got some pictures that I figured I would upload , the top right picture is the massive tear and the bottom picture is the repair with the patch in place it pretty much covers the whole top of the humorous after all their fancy stitch work , day seven today and I have not taken any pain pills since Sunday except for half a pill last night so I could sleep because honestly the pain is pretty extensive still , the surgeon said he had a lot of trouble trying to reattach the already torn tendon hence why they use the patch implant, oh no things seem to be moving in the right direction as far as healing so far
After my mishap on Saturday getting dressed, the surgeon said that due to the re-repair that even if something did re-rupture that they wouldn't be able to do a repair and the next surgery would be a full shoulder replacement, so I'm hoping and praying that everything went OK The x-rays and CT scan showed no dislodge of the anchors and since I just had surgery, they can't do an MRI because of the swelling and water that surrounding the muscle currently so maybe in six weeks we do an MRI.

That's a legit bpc protocol. Seems like the high the better with that stuff. Do you try to pin it local? im vs subq?

I have a kit on the way, didn't get great results in the past but giving it a run again. I was doing local injections by the site of the pain. Tried both subq and im.

I pin that as close to the injury as possible im and subq , i'm trying from every angle lol

shoot bro thats some serious injury. glad to hear things are progressing. im having some significant progress too. im on day 5, hard to sit in one position at a time but my diet for the most part is on point and the BPC/TB combo is definitely speeding me along. got a call from the surgeon who was surprised to hear i was walking around normally. looking like im gonna be on track to return to work on schedule largely due to the peptide stack. i only need the pain pills when i have a bowel movement but its getting more bearable daily. wish i could afford to blast more than 500mcg daily of each but its better than not having it at all. still hoping for the best for you as your injury dwarfs mine. you got this bro

First of all speedy recovery buddy and get well soon. I had back on 2027 do rotator cuff surgery and reattach 3 tendon, my shoulder was totally fucked up after a car accident and not in the gym, back then I was talking with Matt Porter and he suggested me a same protocol like your, to get on trt 170mg test e per week, Ed on shoulder injection of 5mg BPC and 5iu HGH, I can guarantee you the recovery was speed, I get in the gym and train again upper body light on 4-5 months, good luck

Imo/ime bpc157 should be started at 1 mg "minimum" per day , and from my experience, the higher you run it the more "relief" you get,, my current protocol is working out fine , i might play around and do 10 mg per day for a week or two just to"see" how my feelz works, but im also pinning right im/sq @THE shoulder from front to back , mostly shallow im injections.

At 5mg worked perfect for me
