To start off. I'm 30 yrs old, and last year when I checked my testosterone was about 500ng/dl, all other markers were pretty much in the middle range. and that was with Me taking supplements. Eating clean, training hard, sleeping good etc. So I'm assuming that's best case scenario since the year before that it was 460ng/dl
Just to give more context. I've been wanting to do trt to optimize as I've been struggling to make gains. I feel like I'm lacking a certain flame I once had, and honestly I just simply want to blast and cruise and get fucking jacked. Only reason I've been waiting was for fertility reasons. But this world is falling apart too fast and I've given up hope on children, so i think im ready to take the plunge. So as you can see it's not like I HAVE to get on right away.
Anyways, I tore My bicep in august and had to get surgery and then I had loose skin removed as well since i was already recovering i figured that was the perfect time to get both done. so I've been out of the gym since then just withering away. So this gave me alot of time to think and I've decided I want to give it a shot!
The question is.. do I start now? Or wait untill I'm back fully recovered.
My thoughts are maybe it's good to wait untill I'm recovered so my tendon has time to strengthen. And I've heard there is a honeymoon phase with trt. So I would hate to waste that if I can't even lift and I'm just stuck sitting on my ass all day.
Or..
Maybe I would be better to start now so I have time to get "dialed in" because I don't know how difficult that process is. Some people it seems like they deal with all kinds of side effects. Which i would hate to deal with when I'm back to work and life gets busy again.
What would you do in my scenerio? Get started now? Or wait till I am fully recovered back to where I was pre-injury.
One last thought. I also would like to get blood work one last time before I tinker with my hormones just to have one last established baseline to refer back to in the future If needed.
I would imagine right now since my lifestyle isn't great at the moment being sedentary + all the narcotics, opiates, muscle relaxers prescribed by my surgeons etc. My blood work probably is in the gutter lol
Any thoughts and opinions on this matter are much appreciated. Thank you!
