Took the plunge on peptides 4 months ago, initially just really looking for good way to lean out.

Started reta end of August, dropped 45 lbs, probably about 20-25 lbs away from goal but now looking to explore more compounds to pack on some healthy mass.

Appreciate the community and have a lot to learn so thanks for being here!

70 pounds isn't leaning out. 70 pounds is recovering from obesity.

looking to explore more compounds to pack on some healthy mass.

Compounds don't put on "healthy mass"

Informed nutritional decisions and hard work in the gym are the only things that can put on healthy mass.

How old are you

How tall are you

What is your weight

Tell us about your training

Tell us about your food plan

What deficit are you keeping

What foods are you using to hit your macros

What bloodwork do you do and how often

What does your lipid panel look like

What's your blood pressure like

Any chronic health conditions?

Are you taking any medications?

Have you ever had any heart imaging done? Calcium score? CT angiogram?

Obesity is a dangerous disease. Don't assume you escaped it unharmed just because you decided to loose weight. Lets worry about your health, knowledge of nutrition and training before worrying about "compounds"

Yes 70 lbs is recovering from obesity… 210-190 is “leaning out” for me lol

39 6’2” 210 lbs.

Cardio roughly 1.5 hours a day of rucking generally 6-8 miles ish total, lifting 3x a week.

Food plan 160 g protein 150g carbs 40-50 g fats been at about 1600-1800 calories. Breakfast burrito w bowl of greek yoghurt for breakfast meal prepped white rice/beef/broccoli for dinner.

Recent bloodwork done two weeks ago all on the healthier side of within range.

No chronic health conditions.

No rx’s.

No heart imaging no angiogram.

Trt already started due to low results.

Appreciate you caring ❤️

Show us your bloodwork and we’ll decide if it’s good or not. “Normal” ranges are often far from ideal.

Not terrible, though it depends on what they were before (cumulative damage). ApoB, CRP, and LDL could all be better.

Lp(a) looking good.

Previous BP is another factor (endothelial damage increases susceptibility to penetration by LDL), and what the (presumably better post weight loss) number it is now.

Also whether you have any family history of cardiovascular disease, pre 65 heart attacks or strokes, and diabetes (you should check your A1c).

I have historical report from two previous tests I will attach here.

I am well aware I am only getting started but bp has never been high, no fam history of cardio disease or diabetes, never been one for sugar/carbs tbh

With those previous numbers, if you want to lower as much risk of cardiovascular disease and MACE (major adverse cardiovascular events), LDL <40, APOB <45, and HSCRP <1 (<.5 pref).

Those numbers would guarantee no further plaque accumulation, removal of some soft plaque, and stabilization of the plaque that can’t be removed, so your CVD risk drops every year until it’s as low as achievable. Probably lower than others who didn’t have exposure to your elevated lipids, but haven’t gone as low as I’m suggesting for your targets.

When and if your decide it’s something you want to pursue, it should be easy to achieve with a couple of safe, side effect free (for 99%) meds.

It would also give you a lot more flexibility with AAS and food, without having to be very concerned about the cardiovascular impact.

What specific rx’s are you referring to?

What specific rx’s are you referring to?

Pitavastatin (a hot topic here on MESO. Your doctor likely isn’t familiar with it).

Ezetimibe (they’ll know about this).

Quick calculation after a couple months, your numbers will look like this or better, putting your lipids into “elite”, maximizing longevity range. A few guys have started coming back after initiating Pita / eze and exceeded the estimates.

(And no, it’s been firmly established no harm can come from these being “too low”, only even better long term outcomes)

While we don’t “feel” cholesterol, the reduced inflammation can be felt as better physical and mental wellbeing. Less brain fog. Most of the lowered systemic inflammation will come from the ultra low LDL “pulling” necrotized, inflammatory plaque out of your arterial walls.

LDL-C 77 - 30
Apo B 81 - 40
Trig 69 - 49
HDL 45 - 51
HSCRP 1.2 - 0.59

Most primary care physicians, stuck in guidelines set using data from 25 years ago, won’t get it. but any preventive cardiologist would pat you on the back for these.

It’s an opportunity to undo a good portion of the damage done while you were carrying the extra weight.
