Anyone know what Andrey Smaev does for forearms and hands?

Except for a shitload of gear and GH and injecting IGF-1 DES into his forearms

What does he genuinely do for his forearms and hands? The only movements I do is training the wrist flexors and extensors and a pronation.

I don’t see much of his actual training on insta, mostly him doing odd calisthenics and such. When he is doing pull-ups I don’t see him using straps, maby he don’t use straps for anything? Im sure that would smoke your forearms pretty good.

He's an arm wrestler, they do a smorgasbord of all kinds of crazy shit for hands and forearms. I've seen videos of him doing rice bucket training which can make your hands/wrist/forearms a lot thicker. Also videos out there of him doing massive wrist curls with a barbell. Heavy hammer curls on the preacher bench.

Also, in general, anyone who can do a pull up with 250 pounds around their waist is gonna have a brachialis like a boat mooring cable.

It's not just his brachioradialis I am talking about, He trains all the specific forearm, wrist and even hand movements.

I stand corrected. I just saw a reel of him using straps lol. He was doing arm wrestling type movements with dumbbells though. Clearly using straps with his bucked up shirt on :)

In general when i want to know how a person got to where they are at i don't look at their current training. But what they did years ago. As that is often when the base and most of the mass was made.

I should probably watch his old vids then even though I cannot understand a single word in russian except the one that goes ‘prevet’

I like a lot of the Russian/ Eastern Euro guys videos for their kind of different training styles, and they are really good at showing what they eat, but same, I have no idea what they are saying lol. Translator dosent come across correctly most times either. ( Smaiv eats a lot of junk and soda)

one of the things he does is 10,000-15,000 (i dont remember which) wrist curls with dumbell per day
Yeah ofc that is unnecessary to do you can probably get the same stimulus with like 15 reps, but I am talking about the movements he does.

Wrist pronation?
stuff for his hands?

As a Russian speaker I watch his videos sometimes, the guy’s an absolute freak of nature. And let’s be real, he’s 26 but already looks about 50, which is why he’s a running joke in our circles. He trains every single day, does endless high-rep kettlebell work for his wrists and forearms, plus all the bar exercises, the man basically lives inside a forearm pump.

He always plays the “poor factory worker” card like he’s broke and suffering, but come on… with the amount of GH he’s pinning, I don’t even want to imagine the weekly total. If you look at his progress over the last five years, both his wrists and forearms basically doubled in size, straight-up cartoon character development. And he eats like a horse too. His daily calories are probably equal to my weekly calories.

He’s a good dude, but I really hope he doesn’t end up like Ilya Golem. Carrying around 150 kg (330 lbs) at 186 cm (6’1”) is no joke for the human body.

He, like any of the really big guys, is gonna drop sooner or later. The human body can only take so much.
I just hope he has a nice and fulfilled life until then.

Unfortunately, that’s exactly how it’s going to be. People in the Russian community have told him many times to slow down because you can already see the health issues creeping in. But he always says he’s “switched on” and this is what he loves, and he’s not going to stop because this is who he is.

On one hand, there’s respect, he’s fully dedicated to what he does. On the other hand, it’s sad, because he has no real sports ambitions in strength sports, and he’s not planning to step on a bodybuilding stage anytime soon. All of this is mainly for content and making money, which I don’t judge him for at all. It’s his path and his choice.

I agree. Him and his buddy Serge Danilov. They are both living the “get huge at any cost” mindset. Short life sucks. Im 55 and still feel somewhat young. I don’t think they will even make it to my age:(
