Bigger guys here on cpap machine.

i see, i got mine adjusted by a professional and its a resmed airsense
Same. Although as I lost weight - my apnea changed and I had to reduce the pressure so it didn't feel like it was trying to turn me into a party balloon.

I did that myself - there are guides online that show you how to do it - depending on the machine.

I have ResMed AirSense 10 and 11. Not a huge difference between them. The 11 is the latest model, it's been out for a few years now, so you might be able to find some used ones on the market. If not, the 10's are as the people have upgraded to the 11's.

As a note - the ResMed AirMini is a travel version - it works - sorta. I travel for work and have one just so I don't have to pack the big one and carry it around. But it's not a full featured cpap. It is louder, doesn't have the same auto pressure adjusting.

If you need one - just keep in mind that it's really for temporary use.
So which newer one is the best? I need to update mine its super old

Honestly it's a medical device, they're pretty rigorously tested. I have a respironics system 1 as my backup, it was my first machine, I bought it off ebay used, then finally approved for one and got the airsense. Using it, I couldn't tell the difference. The big question is between an auto pap and fixed air cpap. Pretty much the standard where I am is risperonics, but that probably has more to do with they were the cheapest bidder than anything else.

I use the resmed auto sense 11 with a F40 full face mask and a chin strap.

I'm not a bigger guy, well maybe fat lol

My advice is when you first start don't force yourself to use it, ease into it slowly so you get a good experience. I used to play with my phone wearing the mask until I forgot I was breathing or wearing a mask and go to sleep after that.

I'm convinced people gatekeep all the good shit lol like SSRIs, CPAP machines and steroids.

I love my CPAP machine. I even nap with it.
dude it took me months to finally get it! Saw the doc had a sleep study and waited like 2 freaking months for them to finally call me to come get the machine. My insurance covered it 100% so maybe thats why it took so long. But my sleep study was so bad the doc said he was going to expedient the process and still took months. I was thnking wtf is this shit its not like im trying to get fucking oxycodone or some shit. Its crazy how long the process is to get this machine.

Yeah, the CPAP is one of the best decisions I have made ever. I struggled to wear for about a month. Then the flow got dialed in and I have worn it every night since for 4 plus years. I use the pillow with the nostril nubs that the hose attaches at the top of your head. It is getting old and not working as well. I bought a travel one as well. TRT and CPAP best decisions.

Don't let people get into your head about CPAP machines. When you get a good night's sleep with it you won't look back.

I just bought mine cash because I couldn't be bothered dealing with the process.
