Keep getting sick.

I keep getting sick this year. Last month I had a cold for a week. Then I got better for 2 weeks. Then I got another cold. Then I got better for a week. Then I started coughing up phlegm. Then that turned into bronchitis in a week. Now I have a z pack and it seemed to be getting better and I’ve taken off the gym but today I’m hit by a train.

I’m on a bulk, so my food is good. I have multi vitamins. I’m sleeping 8 plus hours. When I get sick I take off from the gym and then treat the next time I’m back in like a deload. My stress is mostly managed. I’ve taken allergy meds and Flonase. Multivitamins fish oil electrolytes etc and 4L of water a day or so. My diet is bland, lots of chicken and rice but I do that by choice of convenience and not caring about flavor.

I’m on a cycle 1g test and 600 eq. This is my highest cycle yet. Bloods were fine before starting. I’m 6 weeks in. I ramped up the test dose. E2 feels fine no symptoms either direction. Gh is at 6iu a night.

I feel like I may be pushing too hard in the gym or my volume might be too high, but when I’m in the gym I have gas in the tank to push (unless I’m sick). I train 5-6 days a week PPL with about 8 hard sets and a little pump work at the end for “fun” with arms abs or calves.

It’s making me consider getting a coach. I’m not competing or anything. I just don’t know what to do next. I making progress in the gym but I feel like I’m making 2/3 to 1/2 what I could be gaining otherwise.

I’m either training too hard. Taking too much (I’ve never taken over a gram until now). Getting extremely unlucky, or some combination of the two.

I’m going to the doctor this week to get his opinion and I’m ordering bloods. I wouldn’t be surprised if my HTC RBC is probably high as it was high normal at the start. BP and HR is fine.

Any advice?

Been dealing with the same shit this year as well. This fall it has seemed like I’ve spent more time sick than not. Big difference for me this year is having a little one coughing directly into my mouth.. kids are fun lol. As of last week I started up some B12 injections, I have a buddy in the medical field who swears by them. It’s too early for me to really tell, and I’m still getting over this last cold, but that might be something to look into.

Too many possibilities and not enough info, but, total T >1500 and IGF-1 z-score >2.5 are both immunosuppressive, and synergistic together, so individually on a scale of 1 to 10, they’re 3 each, but 8 together.

You’d get sick a little more often, especially respiratory illness, but the most noticeable impact would be that symptoms linger longer than they used to, and sometimes get worse instead of getting better.

Immunosuppression from supra-physiological test and GH means inflammation is dampened, not that your immune cells don’t respond. So you wouldn’t get infected much more often, but once something gets a foothold, your system has a hard time destroying it since it can’t bring the “fire” at full strength, ie, inflammation.

Decades ago i increased my intake of veggies. At least a serving or 2 every meal. After a time in noticed i only got sick every few years. Many other people have noticed these sort of results as well. Been sick 3x in the last 8 years. Body wasn't used to dealing with covid. Missed 3 days of work in my working years. At least i got one good lesson from my vegetarian X wife!

It's the chlorophyll, does something to mitochondria

I was sick regularly, lost 20 lbs, couldn't lift

Now all my food: no frying, cook 100 deg C and below

Maybe but i tend to think it is all the vitamins, phytonutrients, carotenoids etc that are in plants that have a synergistic effect. Your red yellow and other colored veggies, which i eat a lot of too, don't have a lot of chlorophyll. That is mostly the green ones.

I can only remark on my experience
As mine was no greens to one leafy green

Choy sum they call it.

Anw it just means your barrier has more synergy

That carnivore thing has weaknesses that fanatics do not want to talk about

Thanks for the advice. I got some liposomal glutathione and will bump up my veggie intake. Veggies tend to bloat me so I don’t frequently eat them, but I understand their benefits.

I also found some old prednisone meds, so I’ve thrown those in too.

Between the time, prednisone, and the zpak I’m feeling much better.

I’m going to take 2-3 more days off and treat the following week as a deload and lower the volume and intensity for the next 1-2 weeks.

It sucks to have to do that mid bulk and cycle but it’s my only option if I want to progress I feel like.

Thanks all

Can't say that was just my experience. Many people i have trained had the same experiences with less sickness and even had less issues with their allergies. Many studies show the thing. I have seen one CDC study where people get more nutrition on the average from their coffee then veggies as most people eat less then 3 servings a day.
