Good day all!
50 year old male here. spent most of my life healthy, active and fit thanks to the military. Injuries and surgeries piled up until I retired. Like many I got lazy and fat. About 18 months ago I had enough. Got labs pulled and my test was 180. Hopped on TRT, glp1 and back to the gym 5 days a week.
Now, feeling better than I was in my 30's, down 60lbs and more leann muscle that ever. Anyway, my never ending quest to improve fitness and physic has led me here.

Looking forward to reading and learning from everybody here.

Cheers

Congrats on the weight loss and finding your way back to the gym. Sounds like you are on the right track but do you have any specific goals in mind?

Much appreciated!
Looking to get down to 185 (from 265), stop the glp1 the start focusing on lean muscle mass while keeping 12ish percent body fat. at 6' I think a lean 205lbs is a good ending weight.

No real experience with chemical enhancements beyond trt and short stint with var. The var, as I later learned, seriously messed with my lipids and that's not something I need at my age. So, maybe there is something else to help achieve my goals.

Trt dosing and glp are perfect until you get your bf down. Most guys feel incorporating anything else with a high bf % is just asking for complications.

It sounds like you might be closing in on it, typically hear 15% thrown around. We have an over 40 thread that may be helpful too.

Great to know. Thats exactly my thought too.
Of course I'm already planning for "what's next" not comfortable with var and at my age I'm certainly looking to speed up the process.
My diet is on point as much as it can be with glp1 (Reta). Unfortunately hitting protein goals is near impossible right now. Test is 80mg twice a week. Labs look good. Gym is 5x a week PPL splits. High intensity looking for failure or 1-2 RiR.

Any initial suggestion for a light Jumpstart when I hit my goal weight? Higher cycle of Test? Something else?

Thanks!

I’m not qualified to give you advise but that sounds like a reasonable plan. I would just reading through some of the older threads and seeing what worked for some of the other guys. It already sounds like you are heading in the right direction and have a little time before your next steps.

Read as much as you can is my best advise.
