How long into a test + deca cycle do you start noticing real size gains?

For those who’ve run a basic test/deca cycle — at what week did you actually start seeing visible size and fullness?

Trying to understand when the “real” growth phase usually kicks in.

Assuming you’re not using a super long test ester, 2-3 weeks to start feeling fuller / pumps / strength increased. Assuming your diet / recovery is on point.

How long your cycle will be and what doses you're running?

I hope you don't plan to do PCT after your cycle because deca is bad news..

Planning around 12 weeks total. Test E at 400 mg/week and Deca at 300 mg/week.

And yeah, I’ve heard mixed opinions about doing PCT after Deca — some say it completely kills recovery. Still figuring out whether to cruise a bit instead of trying to restart right aw

12 week cycle is a waste of time for bulking u should run 6 months minimum
I get what you mean — Deca really takes time to show full effect.
But for a first run I’d rather keep it shorter just to see how my body reacts before committing to a long blast.
If everything goes smooth, extending to 20–24 weeks next time makes sense.

To answer your question, i think it will take 4-6 weeks to notice some gains which aren't just water retention and pumps but that's also will be determined by the food you're eating, quantity and quality.

I wouldn't do a PCT right away, it's seems pointless to me to try fight it. Even if you manage to see some decent numbers in the end of your PCT, when you stop the meds (clomid/enclo, nolvadex etc) most probably they will start decline again.

I'd finish the cycle and switch to TRT, running like 150-180mg test for couple months while adding HCG as well and then quit all, wait 25-30 days and start the PCT.

Deca for 12 weeks is a waste of time and gear. You're also not going to build any real mass in that timeframe either unless you have elite genetics. If you insist on short cycles, stick to short esters & don't bother with 19-nors if you aren't cruising.

Agree. If i had to do a 12 week cycle and PCT i'd definitely go with test prop and primo or mast. Fast way in and out. Deca or EQ for 12 weeks is just ridiculous

Agree with the above. 12 weeks too short for Deca. Cannes NPP instead but if you coming off / doing PCT skip nandrolone altogether. Consider maybe test and bold cyp.

Right. The issue with nandrolone is not solely the decanoate ester but the compound itself. Some metabolites might suppress your for up to 6 months.

2-3 weeks to see some water gains. 4-6 to see the beginning of actual muscle gains. 12 weeks will be fully kicked in, but that's when you plan to stop. Keep going. Make sure to eat and sleep. Those are more important than the gear.

Id run that cycle 16-20 weeks if you want to get some real gains out of it. 12 weeks is just too short for deca. Test and deca aren't harsh so I wouldn't be too worried about running an extra 4-8 weeks
