I've got a kit of Test C250 I received early August from Sigma, with all the conflicting info I'm not sure I'm going to keep it; but out of curiosity, shouldn't it be apparent by the color if it's 50 or 250?

Here's a pic, the first is the C250 I received from Sigma, the second is C50 I recently received, and the third is the C250 from a source I've been using for years. They are all MCT based. From the pic I'd infer that the C250 we received from Sigma is actually C50.

But not sure this conclusion would survive scientific peer review.

No. The concentration of test does not affect the color. The color of the aas, the oil, oxidation, additives affect the color.


Last vial is either GSO (or an oil other than MCT), not Test, or is oxidized.

Why not send 1ml from your kit out for testing to Jano if you have doubts?

It may be oxidated, though its been stored well, its the last vial and is getting old, labs have come back great.

I'd test the suspect kit, but it seems I'd pay as much for the test as just ordering a new kit.

If your supplier is selling the third one as mct I'd have more questions about that one than the ssa test...
