Lipid control on TRT using standardized Bergamot extract?

Had shiny lipid panel, and then started TRT due to secondary hypogonadism. HDL bleed from 70-80mg/dl to 50-60mg/dl range and LDL followed suit in reverse.

While still in a healthy range, I'm not confident to increase dose or tip my toe in strong AAS.

I read that standardized bergamot extract can help to improve lipods during the cycle. Do you have any experience with this tool, or other similar approaches to improve lipids?

Would appreciate your advice.

Bergamot at best will barely bring you into healthy range (<70) from where you are. It won't be sufficient to do so if you increase AAS use. You need to use it for several months for full effect.

It's essentially a weak statin, using the same mechanism of action.

Thanks for the info. Do people usually take statins during the cycles for lipid control? Do you know what are better maybe more effective tools?

no supplement will help
I ran many experiments
Statins + ezetimbe
My ldl was above 400 on a keto diet before
Now im between 37-67 hdl and my ldl stays towards low 40
Total cholesterol lower than 90..
Im still on keto but I do run harsh compounds from time to time
Do a coc score aim for 0
Good luck

My husband tried it along with Ezetimibe and making sure to hit fiber targets. It wasn’t enough, but I do think it influenced his HDL. LDL went from 142 to 117, HDL 54 to 52. He still takes it now for other benefits, alongside a statin.

No, it was actually due to a lowcarb ketogenic diet. I concluded I was a LMHR.

I am based in EU.

Whether you stick with this, or move to a statin (Pitavaststatin is the best imo, if
you haven't seen my many posts about it), Ezetimibe make sense as an add on. Almost no one ever gets side effects, and it lowers LDL significantly.

I asked where you were since I know it's difficult in much of the EU to just order these types of medications from India. Hopefully you can at least get Ezetimebe. (but Pitavaststin, or both, would be even better).

Then consider it a daily vitamin and stay on it whether you're on or off cycle. You can't lower LDL "too much", and since risk is based on "total exposure", keeping it low on cycle and even lower off cycle improves your long term health. Think of LDL like cigarettes. The total exposure over a lifetime is what matters, the less the better.

Thanks for the help. I now understand bergamot extract is a waste of money at 35 euro a bottle.

If you're already taking 20mg rosuvastatin, 10mg ezetimibe and 500mg niacin 2x a day would you say there's not much point in running citrus bergamot alongside all that?

I’m posting this for the second time already.
I'm using the TBJP Health Stack (Love Heart, Heart Care) for my blast, and I’ve had no issues with cholesterol. I notice a big difference when I don’t include it in my blast, it really has everything you need, in my opinion.

I don't take statins, but my ldl as of last blood work was: 1.28mmol ldl and 1.11mmol hdl. I do take bergmont, nattokinase, Nician (high dose), tested omega 3s, berberine and ubiquinol.

Before I started adding these in my ldl was: 1.89 mmol and hdl 1.08mmol.

Worth noting my markers of inflammation c-reactive protein and homocysteine went down from mid healthily levels. My trigs have always been fairly low.

It might not just be bergmont so I included everything. Also worth noting I don't blast. So YMMV.

What do you run, what is your TT, and your ApoB?

Niacin helps with lipids?
Flushing niacin will lower ldl and raise hdl. I started off at 500mg and this was a mistake.

Felt like one of those horny wolves from old cartoons. Felt like everything above the shoulders was coated in heat, like I could feel it coming off me, sat under an ice cold shower but it was no good, oddly enough I started shivering despite feeling intense heat. Luckily it went away after 30 brutal minutes.

I take 100mg flushing niacin as part of Stamet protocol, and the flushing is so much, I want to come out of my skin. I read it should be flushing for hdl raising and in far higher doses rhan just 100mg (1-2g daily).
You have to use a flushing niacin but what I use is sustained release which releases the niacin over 8 hours so you're less likely to get a flush. I use the now brand once am and pm and I almost never get a flush from it. I will get a random flush every once in a while though like 6-8 hours later while drinking a coffee which is weirdm

Please allow me to add my knowledge. Ideally, you should control the functioning of your gallbladder. And many of you ignore this.
