Tirz vs Reta

New here, but just came off 30 days of 2.5mg/week of prescribed Mounjaro. It was a complete lightbulb moment for me, being the first time I've injected or done a peptide. Food noise vanished, my cravings were gone and I was no longer tempted by snacks or picking away at stuff in the fridge. Additionally, 15lbs came off easy. I should note the first 2 days of Tirz I was peeing massive amounts every 20-30 minutes...is this common? Could this point to a different issue?

Anyway my main question is this: I'm done with my prescribed Mounjaro as of mid August. I ordered Grey market Reta and the effects are essentially non existent. There's a slight bit of appetite suppression but nothing compared to the Mounjaro. I sent away this vial of Reta for local testing and it came back at 99%. Also, I haven't lost a pound on Reta, in fact I've gained a couple pounds. I've ordered local Tirz and will be swapping back to that for further research.

Would love to hear your guys' thoughts on this.

Stick with Tirz if your goal is long term weight loss.

Reta fits a specific niche in which those who need to be able to "eat through" the suppression to meet bodybuilding goals are able to do so, or have serious liver disease that needs to be address as quickly as possible.

Despite the hype, "newer" is not necessarily better, depending on your goals.

Tirz is also significantly cheaper at typical maintenance doses.

Thanks Ghoul. I'm going to give the Tirz a try. Will report back. I'm not necessarily looking for appetite suppression, as I was able to eat through the suppression. But I'm feeling like Reta isn't all it's cracked up to be? Or, perhaps my 1.5/mg Reta dose every 4-5 days needs to be upped, but from what I've researched, that's not the case.

I have found that tirz is certainly the superior.compound if all you're after is the ability to cut weight. Reta seems to be of particular use if visceral fat and lipids are more of a concern AFAIK. I have reta on hand and wish it was Tirz lol.

Reta at 2mg per week is plenty for me and got me shredded in 2 months with a good diet. Back to eating above maintenance calories now with a much more lax diet and still getting leaner with it. If you eat like a pig with no self control and expect it to completely curb your appetite then Reta probably isn't for you. It keeps my BG around 80 on 10iu of Serostim and allows me to get the proper amount of food in and I don't want more.

Visceral fat decrease is definitely the goal. I'm 6'4 250 at the moment. 202lb of that 250 is lean mass, according to inBody. My goals are 15% BF, 225-230lbs.

At this point I likely could be there with HGH and T. But, I'm wanting to keep fertility and hormones in balance while wifey and I debate having children. Thus the peptide journey. But. Open to all suggestions as well.

I’ve been on Reta for four weeks now. First time with a GLP-1. I’m also on a cutting cycle, test, mast, tren and 4iu GH. Reta has been interesting, I’ve titrated up from 1 to 2mg and I feel like it’s working less well compared to the first two weeks. I’m really trying to dig out my abs and curious about Tirz. I may be Impatient but I feel like I could use a tiny bit more appetite suppression. But I’m also only four weeks into this cycle so I’ll most likely give it some more time before I make the switch to Tirz.

Yes. 4 weeks is still only the beginning.

If you only want to burn fat to see those abs, just stay on reta (but make sure you're hitting your protein minimum). If you want to not be tempted by food and only poop every other day, switch to tirz.
Haha shiiiiit. No you’re right, I’ll give it the full duration of my cycle. I’m about 12-13% bf and trying to get to 8-9%. 1.5g protein/lb body weight and training heavy 5 days a week.

Side note, I’m not sure if it’s the Reta or the Mast but I have never felt this good on a cycle. Loving it a lot aside from the high RHR from Reta.

If you start with Tirz, you will notice less appetite suppression with Reta. Had you started with Reta, you would have noticed some appetite suppression too, even if it is not as strong as Tirz.
You can stick to Tirz as it has a better price point.
As someone who has never really felt the "absence of food noise" with any GLP-1, I have a strong preference for Reta

What do you like better about Reta vs Tirz?

What else are you expecting here? All we can do is understand how things work and our own experiences. We're talking about something that isnt FDA approved lol.
That’s exactly why I pointed out his results because I think that’s what a lot of people are looking at Reta for. That is good info.

Friend of mine is on Tirz and having a hard time with it. She's on a low-ish dose and struggling with nausea and a complete inability to eat at times. I'm wondering if Reta wouldn't be a better choice.

Maybe. Since she started with Tirz, reta may feel milder, but it may take a few weeks for wt loss to kick in.
There are also sides (albeit anecdotal) Ranging from some kind of postural hypotension, skin hypersensitivity, and scattered blood glucose readings..
