Serious question, I work at a pharmacutical company, in particular with peptides.
I am kinda intrigued to start homebrewing stuff but there are a lot of questions from my end.
One of the biggest ones, it would probably be possible to use a 50ml syringe and a syringe filter to be clean but how are you being sterile? We use labratory hoods in clean rooms and A LOT of disinfectant.
But at home I dont have anything able to work sterile, I know there are "Bags" that get blown up with filtered air in which you can but your hands into.
Do you guys use somethin like that or just fuck it?

You use pre sterilized sealed vials.

Everything after the .22 micron filter is sterile.

Aaah, you just put a needle on the filter and direclty into the vile...., makes sense didnt think about that... Thanks for the pictures, how accurate are the scales you use, I know they can get expensive pretty quick

For small quantities you can get .01g pocket scales pretty cheap.

Yes works for everything, just time consuming.

But trade off is a closed system so it removes 90% of the sterility requirement and human error

Theres a super long forum post on this. You can get UPS rated vials with PTFE stoppers which are resistant to solvents.

It is easier to control sterility in a small environed. Mass producing things with employees that are only doing what they are required to do to get their pay check. Requires lots of rules and procedures to keep things safe. Is not the same as a person doing things on their own that can easily control most variables.

Where do you get the USP or sterile vials? We only order from companys like Merck but i am not wiling to pay 10€ per vial... Which vendors sell reliable sterile and cheap vials? I also cant realy find stuff on google except with butyl rubber and I would like to go with Silicon tbh.

According to the part number, these are PTFE coated. ~$1.20 a piece isn't cheap, but it's a decent price on these. I get that it's hard to stomach when most people don't care.

Silicon melts when exposed to BA/BB over time. You want PTFE coated stoppers. There's a super long thread about filtering..you should have a read..

You can sometimes find the west fluro coated stoppers on ebay for cheap. Or like others said just use sterile vials. If you’re careful enough you can uncap and go through the sides of the stopper so not through the middle and just recap.

Where did you get that vial holder thing? You uncap and just recap after filling or use a new stopper alltogether? I tried using those Ive extensions man with oils and I guess the BB softened it that they broke on me. Unless the ones I got were shitty.

I recap after filtering. And the holder is just a lipstick holder from Amazon.

Look up "braun standard bore" for IV lines to use with oils

Are you talking about the iv tubing in the picture or the stoppers ? Just want to make sure im using the right stuff. I buy the sterilized ktec vials from Amazon, probably just butyl stoppers

IV tubing.

KSTek uses PTFE coated stoppers so you should be gtg.
