Will My TRT Clinic Trip If My Test Levels Are Too High Again?

I asked my TRT clinic for an IGF-1 test since I’m currently running some HGH. Right away, they told me I needed to get full labs done. I pushed back and said I just wanted the IGF-1 referral for now and they agreed.

A few days later they called me back saying I actually have three weeks left to complete my follow-up labs, which is interesting because they previously told me I could wait until the end of October. Now it feels like they’re trying to move the timeline up.

Last time I did labs, my total test came back at 1500 ng/dL. My provider mentioned it was high and asked me to cut back by 50mg, but she let it slide because all my other markers looked great.

Now I’m worried if I go in for labs and my total and free test are way above range again, are they going to flag me and possibly cut my script? Anyone been through something like this?

Out of curiosity, is this an in person clinic or online? One of the guys I work with was getting a script for 300mg/wk along with deca. Online clinics don’t seem to give a shit.

What does that end up putting your total test at? Any other markers out of range?

I think my buddy at work goes through trt nation. I used them for a bit just to have a legit script, but mother fuck some of the stuff they’ll just hand out is wild. Plus it costs an arm and a leg.

300 had my total test around 2200 and free test around 450. The bitch of it is that if I dropped to 200 and added Prim0 I would prob have an even higher Free Test

First off, just order your own labs. If all you care about is IGF, there are places where you can order that à la carte.

Secondly, TRT clinics make a ton of money off order you a full lab panel. There are other reasons they will give you but it’s about money. Money for the lab and more money for whatever else they feel like “prescribing” you. The only good thing I’ve ever seen come from a TRT lab that couldn’t be done on your own is a the paper prescription that makes travel easier… otherwise just a waste of time and $$ IMO.

Lastly, most TRT clinics know what they are really about. If they see you above range they are not gonna care, as long as you start buying the test through their pharmacy instead lol.

My doc isn’t a loon really. He just says he wants to treat guys based on their reported symptoms. When I was on 200 test we had a check in. For whatever reason my total test was only 720 or something and he asked how I felt. I told him I was better than before I started but there was room for improvement. So he bumped me up to 300 and said no need to re check labs to track the T levels. We get follow ups annually for regular basic labs and my T has been over 1500 and he didn’t care because I felt great. What really surprised me was how much better I felt on 300 vs 200. I didn’t think it would be a big difference but for me it was.

This is through Defy Medical. We talk over telehealth calls for check up. They’ve been great so far. I’m just skeptical about the recent urge for testing.

Laws / regulations are changing rapidly and for these clinics that have their providers licensed in most / all states, they have to rush to be compliant with various things, such as how much medication they can ship at once, how many times per year you need to have a visit, etc.

I’m leaning more on your judgment with this, especially since at my last labs they didn’t seem too concerned about my total test being higher than before. I’m planning to run my next labs this coming Monday, timed at trough.

If you're using test C, E, or a shorter ester, a lot will be cleared out in 3 weeks

Just stop injecting now

The thing is, I’m in week 8 of a 20-week cycle. It all started because I just wanted to check my IGF-1 levels after being on HGH for four weeks. I needed a referral to run my labs and was not aware there was other independent labs out there I can get without their referral. Plus I wasn’t expecting them to ask for a full lab panel since they originally told me I’d be good until October. I figured I’d be back by then to cruise. But now with this request, I’m pretty sure they’re going to notice I’m running more than the 150mg of Test C they prescribed.

You're acting like this is a mandatory thing that you're locked into?

is this your first cycle

I'm in similar position, just 160mg T cyp per week and total test was over 1500 (they used the cheap test which cuts off after 1500, but next week I'm doing the more test one without a cutoff). I'm retesting next week and just stopped my daily T injections and am just taking some ostarine for a week to fill in the gap (I know, I know, SARMS are pathetic but at least there are clinical studies with ostarine and it's only for a week, so it's better than nothing right?).
