When I use to drink I'd drink Gibsons 12 or Royal Reserve in the plastic bottles because I can't taste the difference after having my nose broken 2-3 times.

Big into Scottish whisky. Went there for 9 days, spent 4 days on Islay, hit every distillery on the island except Bunnahabain. Also did Oban and Auchentoshan on the mainland. Love bourbon as well, although I know less about it than the Scottish variety.

Besides the Weller, Pappy and BTAC stuff; Four Roses LE, Blood Oath, Penelope Barrel Strength are all tasty. Most overrated is Blantons.

I could never have a bar that looked like that. I’ve tried but I end up just drinking it all. I give you guys credit. That’s a nice setup and a testament to self control lol. I once tried making my own bourbon blend. I had a really nice decanter and I would take the bottom of bottle and dump it in there. The goal was to fill the decanter with a bunch of different bourbons. Never made it. I drank it lol before it even made it half way

I’m not typically a huge extra Anejo fan but the 10 year Arette was nice. I like to judge a brand on their blanco so they can’t hide or mask anything with oak. IMO Arette Blanco can’t hang with the rest on that list, I put it next to Azunia Blanco in my second tier.

My go to is g4 and ocho but I just added arette to my total wine cart to try. Espolon is another decent sipper if wanting something a little cheaper, it’s my beach drink usually.

I tried it a few years back when I was still drinking more bourbon. It was my girls uncle and he’s got stupid money. Kept talking it up like it’s the best tequila and costs so much. When I went down the tequila rabbit hole and found out that the guy who owns it doesn’t know shit about tequila but is highly educated in marketing I wanted to send him a 40ish dollar bottle of Lalo and tell him same same but different lol.
Hahaha thanks bro. You’re not helping my habit though lol. I’m sure I could find it online but going to my local liquor store is one of the few things I actually enjoy doing. Bunch of cute girls there and they are dog friendly so me and my pup make a trip out of it. I get tequila she gets attention. Win win.

Why is it always the loaded dude that wants to show you his sports cars and flex his high end junk juice?
Perfect example with LALO and the story behind it haha. Complete opposite from Clase. But guys like him usually like it sweet. For those fellas I show them Tears of Llorona. Well worth the $250 price but it comes in a swing top bottle so it isn’t the flex they want
I think that there is a strong correlation between the fancier and more ornate the bottle of tequila, the less shits they give about the liquid inside.
