Operation Pangea XVII: Record 769 arrests and USD 65 million in illicit pharmaceuticals seized in global bust

Nervous system agents, including psychostimulants, anti-anxiety drugs, and medications for Parkinson’s disease, topped the list as the most seized product type, with erectile dysfunction medicines, the second highest.

Other commonly seized product types include anabolic steroids, anti-diabetic medicines, anti-smoking products, dermatological agents, health supplements, herbal products and psychotherapeutic agent.

If anyone's curious why a "Parkinson's Disease drug" is now at the top of the seized drug list, it's Selegiline, which is believed to offer longevity benefits via a unique mechanism, reinvigorating the biological "purpose in life" neurological mechanism in mammals that fades with age, with a cascade of effects from better mood to enhanced cognitive function, recovery from illness etc.

One of its developers started using a low daily dose decades ago, and was convinced it was the reason he stayed active and highly motivated until his death at 93.

India pharma sells it.

Risks are minimal (but there are some) at low doses so as always do your homework.

There's newer medications that came out post 2016, how sure are you its this medication? What makes this special?

I tried this like 10 years ago, lol.
I would take something much newer if i even considered it now.

I get why you'd want to experiment with something different, but in terms of popularity of a Parkinson's drug used off label nothing comes close to Selegiline as a nootropic, anti-anhedonia, anti-aging. pseudo stimulant.

Rasagiline or Pranipexole have a little interest but it's obvious which Parkinson's drug were taking about.

An example of tax dollars being spent to make our lives worse. In regards to weight loss drugs, not everyone has insurance to cover them, and I have seen first hand the tremendous benefit of them.

I have had several friends, hard core bodybuilders that are long married yet have overweight wives. Busting your hump in the gym, eating a perfect diet, just to came home to a fat wife is no fun. These guys have gotten GLP-1 inhibitors cheaply from places like Meso, their wives have lost a ton of weight, and their marriages have been saved or at a minimum greatly improved.

Heaven forbid anyone cuts into the massive profits being made by the medical industry.

But hey, LE is hard at work to stop this despicable crime.

> crackdowns are bad because my buddies wives might get fat again which could make them sad

lmao
(on a real note, I do agree with your post 100%, GLP1s are a great QoL improvement for the general population and should not be harder to access than they are rn)

just fyi the crackdown began in 1st december 2024. and kept going until 2025 june. this shit is one of the biggest operations they've done in a while and it didnt even affect the ugl peptide market.

normally they run this operation for 1 week

Thats right, brother!

Of course I am not dealing weight loss drugs :) but I am currently the most popular man in my community, LOL.

Imagine living with a fat wife. You stick it out because you honor your vows and are a man with integrity. But your life sucks.

Suddenly your wife loses 30 lbs. From a kit you paid a measly $300 for (gym cost, not Meso cost). Your life just got 1000% better.

My wife was only 20-25 lbs overweight but has a script for Zepbound and has lost 20 lbs. She looks almost as hot as the day I married her.

I am much older than her and tell her she needs to upgrade her husband, LOL

Our life has been like a 2nd honeymoon.

This crackdown on raws is a killer. How many guys do you all know who are paying out the ass for their testosterone. At least $100 a month minimum for a clinic where the docs don't even know your name and then test is $100 a bottle. And they are stingy.

It might be cabergoline ? That's a popular one too.

sounds like heaven, in my country the middle aged people who take all the GLPs are usually the almond moms who were already starving themselves instead of the people who actually need it

Sam Bankman-Fried, the now disgraced ex-CEO of FTX, used transdermal Selegiline. MPMD dedicated a whole video to it, breaking down the use case for the drug. Interesting stuff!

I find 5mg / day to be a very solid motivation enhancer / willpower reinforcer with no ill effects, other than perhaps having to lower coffee intake, since it amplifies other dopamine boosting substances. This property is believed to "preserve" dopaminergic neurons, like keeping blood glucose down preserves pancreatic beta cells from wearing out due to excess insulin production. May make the difference between being one of those "foot dragging, head down" men and "full of energy" types in old age.

Not bad for something that costs less than $40/yr from India pharma.

Have you taken Modafinil before? If so, how do the two compare? Personally, I have not found Moda to be particularly useful for increasing 'motivation' or 'willpower'; I am curious if Selegiline would be any different. Thanks!

I'm very familiar with Moda.

They're qualitatively different, though complementary. With selegeline, only half the dose of Moda is needed for the same effect, for instance.

I'll try to explain its unusual effect because it's not particular comparable to anything else.

Selegiline boosts your baseline level of conscious "grip", rather than jolting you with energy. Your mind is less prone to wandering. Intent to do something begins as a spark, that usually fades quickly, while selegiline keeps it, and the energy that accompanies your initial desire to do something going much longer.

That sounds great. Very enticing. Have you ever experienced withdrawals with this drug? Does it maintain its efficacy with long-term use? Thanks in advance!
