Estrogen Question

I've been running a TRT dose of 125mg/week split between three doses for 6 weeks now. I'm wondering why my estrogen is still high while my total test, and free test are both within normal ranges. I haven't been taking an AI as i assumed my dose was low enough to not aromatize. I am experiencing some shoulder, and chest acne which i can now only assume is from the e2. Should i be attempting to lower my dosage to reduce the e2?

First I assume you've been on at least 6 weeks to stabilize?

I guess that depends on how you feel at that TRT dose.

If you feel great. I'd prefer to treat acne and excess aromatization than sacrifice the T dose that's providing significant quality of life.

If you have high bodyfat, this is your sign and motivation to attack that aggressively, which will reduce aromatization.

42.6 is the top of the range from my doctor.
What was your numbers before?

My last without Primo was >1500 TT 68.7 E (I felt fine)

Typically with Primo I'm 30-45. I need to get uncapped bloods done soon to see what I'm really at with my preferred TRT dose of 250 Test Cyp 125 Primo. Been running it steady for 2ish years.

About a year ago i had bloodwork through TRTnation with my numbers at 376 total test, and 28.9 estradiol. I went with an underground lab instead of through their clinic due to costs.

I did blast before actually starting the TRT dosage, you can see the bloodwork in my post history.

I was a bit overweight too but I had a better ratio 22 to 1 for me vs 13 to 1 for you. Just an observation.

You could trial 12.5mg aromasin per week which would lower your estrogen moderately.

There is evidence that higher E2 can help with the lipid profile and is linked with lower all cause mortality in men. Man Medicine on YouTube did a big video about it.

Obviously having side effects is not great. If you recently came off blast the acne might be due to fluctuations in hormone levels. Maybe play it out a bit longer just to see.

Keep your hygiene up and keep a good rotation of clean shirts (more plates more dates recommendation).

If it was high on blast maybe it's taking a bit longer to clear from your system.

It was pretty high for the duration of the blast, i was only blasting for 10 weeks, due to getting pretty sick. for the first 6 weeks i was doing aromasin 12.5mg the day after injections which left my e2 in the 70s if i remember correctly. terribly tired all day, but minimal acne at that point. after that i upped the aromasin to EOD which brought it down to low 40s and eliminated the tiredness.

I'll also add that I did switch sources a few weeks before the acne began to get bad, so i'm 50/50 on thinking it's from hormones, or from the gear source.

Have your looked at your liver enzymes?

I'd keep at the same dose for a few more weeks and see if it stabilises. I never get acne on cycle but get some breakouts when coming off.

Also keep in mind it takes a few weeks for aromatse activity to be restored after coming off aromasin.

Who told you to take aromasin?

The way I understand it, aromasin has little effect in men due to it lowering mostly e1 not e2. Arimidex is what is normally prescribed to men (in the US) because it reduces e2.

You are probably a high converter so you will need Arimidex. Don't buy into the "AI will fuck you up crowd" or "If you feel fine with an e2 of 250 who cares crowd" or my favorite "high estrogen will get you more IGF-1, protect your brain, and will make you live longer crowd". You know who lives longer than men? Women, because they are all estrogened out and not doing man shit. lol

Seriously though, try and keep your e2 between 15-30 to prevent water retention and oily skin. I have to take 0.5mg Arimidex a week on 120mg test a week and more when on a blast. I have low body fat but I convert a lot.

I did a liver panel a few weeks before the bloodwork i posted here and nothing is elevated. Lipids are a bit elevated but i suspect this is due to genetics as my parents have the same issue. My PCP has me on a low dose statin for that

Nobody told me to take aromasin, from my research, mainly through the steroidwiki, i decided on aromasin as to avoid the bounce back w arimidex. I wasn't aware of it being more affective in men, that's something i'll have to consider and read about. Completely open to switching the AI.

Kind of a niche opinion. But in your case with elevated lipids maybe a higher E2 would be beneficial for long term CVD risk reduction.

Everyone has a different opinion on E2 levels. I'm kinda on the fence.

I always take it with my pins. But dose wise everyone is different so it’s dependent on your labs. Given your test is close to 700. 40 estrogen isn’t terrible. It’s out of range. But not bad.
But even at that level I feel symptoms.
And like the video above, keeping your e2 higher but in a great range with no side effects is the best bet for everything all together.
After all you need estrogen in your body still.

i prefer my estrogen between 45 - 60. keeps libido strong for me. i dont think you have excessively high estrogen just in the higher end of normal range

I inject Monday and Thursday and take half an arimidex on Monday. I should probably try cutting the arimidex in 4 but it is so dam small not sure that is even possible. I have tried injecting everyday, but unfortunately it did not lower my e2 at all.

I bought a pill cutter off Amazon.
And I swear it doesn’t even cut straight either.
But I’m about to try to 1/4 my Adex tabs and go 1/4 tab every 3-4 days

Oddly they're not so great for halving and I use a different one for that.
