Never seen DNP do this

So I ordered raws from a source on here and they arrived today. First thing I do is always put some on foil and put a lighter to it. I've seen it immediately ignite which is a good sign. I've seen it melt and then ignite because it was wet a lot.

This dnp is in shards so I assume it is dnp crystal, no experience with it. I put a lighter to it and it melts into a large amount of liquid, and then ignites very briefly and goes put, but then it "cracks back" and rapidly recrystallizes like methamphetamine would.

I tried to upload the video but it's not allowing me to.

Also the raws were only 38 grams and not 40 lol. Anyone have experience with this? The last stuff I had that melted I just threw it in the oven and evaporated moisture off of it and it lit right up afterwords, guess I'll try that but it recrystallizing like meth would is a bit concerning lol. Guess that's another great fat burner lmao

It does stain my skin yellow handling it and feels rather moist. I'll throw a bit in the oven to evaporate some moisture and report back. The recrystallization looks cool as fuck happening but getting the vibe I got as much water as I did dnp if it's just wet

Put a small amount in the oven at 210 and it liquefied again even at 210. DNP doesn't melt until around 236. But when I put the full packet in which weighed 9.6g it didn't melt. Baked at 210⁰ for 3 hours and it came back out at 7.2g and still just melts and doesn't actually catch fire until being hit with flame for 20+ seconds.

Might try to bake it even longer but definitely gonna have to send some off to janoshik because I'm not real confident on the purity and with DNP taking a few days to build up I don't want to guesstimate actual dnp dose per weight and base dosage on feels. Last time i thought caps were underdosed based on feeling and upped to 2 capsules i felt like absolute shit lol.

I'll send it out next time I get gear tested which probably won't be until some test cyp raws become available again. Don't need to run the DNP for awhile, just wanted to have it for future use.

Stop messing with dangerous drugs if you aren't going to test

That does seem weird and not like any DNP I've ever encountered. Def trash it or get it tested because even if it's real you have no idea the concentration which is not something you should vibe

Another ghetto analysis you can do to confirm something's wrong with it is dilution -- real DNP is a strong water soluble yellow dye and as little as 50mg will dye a gallon of water a surprisingly intense yellow

Well I spilled a couple granules on my counter and used a wet wipe to clean it up and my counter is totally fucked stained yellow all over now, and my fingernails are still stained bright yellow. So I don't doubt there is dnp in there I'm just wondering what else would be in there to liquify and melt. My best guess was MSM which people use to cut meth with since it melts and recrystallizes.

Showed a female friend who is a recovering addict and she immediately thought I was showing her bath salts and that she'd had yellow ones that were just like that lol.

Not sure if jano can also tell me what it's cut with completely blindly without knowing what to look for. I'll inquire when I do send some out.

So I baked it again for 4 hours today and now it ignites quickly, it was just a lot of water in it. Started at 9.6g now I have 5.2g of dry dnp.

And then I noticed. Fucking EVERYTHING porous and white that was in the open in my entire apartment has a slight tinge of yellow to it. I'm living in a fucking Coldplay fever dream, ITS ALL YELLOW

Gonna buy some heavy duty dessicants to put in a bag with the rest and let it suck the water out until I have use for it again, because Jesus fucking christ. I've rinsed the sheet I baked it in 30x and when I soak it the water still turns yellow despite there being nothing even visible on it

Make it your self. Realy easy if you have access to dinitro chloro benzene. Otherwise you have to use conc nitric and sulphuric acid which are obviously not safe to handle

laboratoriumdiscounter sells 1-chloro-2,4-dinitrobenzene. if you mix this with a base like NaOH or NaCO3 in water, you can make it yourself in theory.

2,4-Dinitrophenol (DNP) Synthesis Recipe (with 15% sulfuric acid)

Ingredients:
- 5 g 1-chloro-2,4-dinitrobenzene (0.025 mol)
- 65 mL 2 M NaOH (~0.13 mol, ~5× excess)
- 15% sulfuric acid (add slowly until fizzing stops + crystals form, ~50–80 mL)
- Cold water (for washing)

Procedure:
1. In heat-resistant glass, combine 5 g 1-chloro-2,4-dinitrobenzene + 65 mL 2 M NaOH.
2. Heat to 100–120°C, stir occasionally, maintain for 1.5–3 hours.
3. Cool to warm (40–50°C).
4. Slowly add 15% sulfuric acid in small portions, stir, let fizz settle between additions. Stop when no more fizzing + yellow crystals form.
5. Place in ice bath for 10 minutes to complete crystallization.
6. Filter, wash solid with cold water, dry under 50°C.

Expected yield: ~4.5 g (about 90% theoretical)

would recommend to use hcl instead of sulfuric acid and you probably dont have to reflux if you keep it below 100 degrees, around 80-90

Why?
And why react with an acid?
Nitro compound doesn’t form a salt. You can neutralise remaining naoh with acetic acid. No need for harsh acids.
