Does increasing your GH dose matter if you're already at supraphysiological IGF-1 levels?

Does increasing your GH dose matter if you're already at supraphysiological IGF-1 levels? (300+ IGF-1 level)

Currently on 4iu AM (not with fasted cardio due to work schedule) after backing down from 6iu (PM) due to ankle edema/water retention. I feel good on 4iu and am unsure if its even worth titrating back up?

I drink coffee (with sugar) 45-60 minutes post-injection.

When I took PM injections, I tended to only be "fasted" for 60-90 minutes, as I eat right before bed.

*On a cut/recomp cycle with daily injections

300mg test E
400mg primo
50mg tren A

Also, a tip to OP… your body will adjust to the new higher dosage after some weeks and you will automatically lose some water when your body adjusts. 6-8 weeks usually for me.

Max IGF. Then consider multiple doses for lipolysis. But tbh most people have so much more room in the basics of diet, training, and recovery than to justify double digit GH doses.
As an experienced athlete and coach, how long do you think it’s safe to maintain a high IGF-1 level?

For example, I’m getting 750+ IGF-1 from just 4iu of GH daily. Would it be reasonable to keep it that high for 2–3 months while I’m on cycle, and then lower the dose once I transition to a cruise?

The answer there is entirely dependent on your goal and risk/reward posture.

We know elevated IGF can lead to some serious issues down the road. So does all our other drug use. It’s really a question of where you personally draw the line.

750+ from 4iu is legendary though.

Appreciate the insight, man - makes total sense.

I’ve already decided to drop the dose to 3iu. I’m not prepping for anything, not chasing a pro BB card, so the risks just aren’t worth it for me.

And yeah, that 750+ from 4iu felt like hitting the genetic jackpot, but I’ll try not to push my luck!

It was always around 100 naturally. Right before starting GH on cycle, I checked and it was 185.

Started with 2iu, then bumped to 3.2iu and it climbed to 425.

A little over a month ago I increased to 4iu, and my latest labs came back at 762.

I tried collecting all the Meso members IGF1 levels on various doses of GH

You're the red circle, a clear outlier

The human body is such a weird machine. I saw a video where Chase Irons had a 240 IGF level while using 18iU of Serostim a day and you get 750 from 4iU

That’s genetics for you - some people are born Chris Bumstead, and others… well, let’s just say more Jason Genova vibes.

But seriously, when my IGF-1 hit 750, I had elevated heart rate, high blood pressure, and constant headaches.
I kept blaming the EQ, but last week I got sick and decided to lower my GH to 3iu - and boom, everything normalized: blood pressure, resting heart rate, no more pounding headaches.

Next week I’m dropping it to 2.5iu, which I think will keep my IGF-1 around 300 - still solid and much more manageable.

i just took an igf1 test a couple days ago, i have historically had a lower igf1 for the amount of ius (4 ius) of 217 , so im curious to see the difference at 5 ius and a more balanced diet (not in defecit),, tbd,,

IGF response has far more to do with liver condition (and insulin) than the modest amount of variability caused by the rare genetic variants that influences it.

Sorry for my ignorance, but according to this article, would it mean that maintaining an insulin-sensitive state and a healthy liver will get you more response from GH and IGF-1?
