However, it become painfully apparent that if I did that I would end banning a large percentage of the people criticizing questionable Chinese sources. The extensive and repeated use of racist/ethnic slurs that has taken place in source threads has and continues to be disturbing.

But to ban all these people who have the unintended effect of stifling criticism of Chinese sources. Based on past experiences, many members banned for racism would refuse to accept responsibility for the consequences of their actions, and they would falsely claim they were banned for criticizing a source. If they repeat the lie long enough, they eventually people will be more reluctant to post criticism of sources.

To be clear, the use of racist/ethnic slurs/stereotypes is unacceptable. MESO is left with the challenge create an open environment where everyone feels completely free to criticize sources.

Thus, MESO has resorted to warnings and/or temporary bans for this type of behavior. The objective is to continue to strongly encourage criticize and accountability of sources while at the same time guiding behavior to discourage/eliminate racist expressions by members.

Of course, I would be remiss of me to not point out the hypocrisy of those members who selectively become "woke" when it suits their purposes but criticize the "censorship" when it doesn't suit their purposes.

How is it that I allow minors to do anything on this forum? They have ALWAYS been consistently banned, and their threads have been deleted in most cases. If any have been missed, please let me know. Fortunately, the MESO community does a great job of catching and reporting these instances as far as I know.

I honestly don't think many guys actually know what harm reduction is. One thing it is not is ad hominem attacks. There is no shortage of questionable advice on this forum. You guys need to meticulously attack the merits of the bad advice.

MESO is a platform that gives its members unprecedented freedom with minimal restrictions in promoting harm reduction particularly when it comes to criticizing, calling out, and otherwise holding sources accountable. It is disappointing to see this freedom being used to harass, stalk, and bully other members with ad hominem attacks. The fact that threads are populated with hundreds of ad homimen attacks, and high percentages of some members' posts are merely ad hominem attack is not what harm reduction is about.

MESO will always ban and prohibit minors from participating in this forum. It's ironic that even the chronological adults are acting like children. Grow up. Stop acting like children. The childish bickering is exhausting.

Thanks for sharing and I've made use of rules similar for sites that have flashing or way too colorful large banners that are seizure inducing. Got it working on Brave Browser and Firefox.

I don’t even agree with racism towards sources. If you cannot criticize a Chinese source without using ethnic slurs you should be banned. The same goes for members calling other members racial slurs.
