Blood Pressure

Yea, I just finished my loading phase first 4 weeks on triz and I took a while to decide on it or reta. I went with triz because in no particular order

1. It is less expensive.
2. It is much more proven and tested
3. The RHR increase is tangibly less
4. The results seem to be within a small % of eachother to the point it wouldn't make much of a difference for my goals.

However both are good choices. I even looked at mazdutide which is another drug in testing.
I was on tirz for a while and I had no where near the elevated HR that I do now. I was as low as 60's even on 7.5mg per week.

I wanted to give Reta a try given all the hype for it.

Yea I too read up on it and was about 50/50 and the place was going to buy it from just happened to be out of stock on the low mg I wanted for starting so I said well that is the gear gods making the choice for me. We shall see as I go farther in. However, most likely they are both excellent choices overall and should do what you want in both cases.

Been in the game a long time what kills or stops guy on steroids is high blood pressure the number 1 thing period. Also kidney failure which is caused by high blood pressure. You kidneys get destroyed from high blood pressure and kidneys don't recover. Is you have to take prescription blood pressure meds at high doses to try and control it is just a bandaid. Stop taking the juice for awhile or lower the dose to a trt dose no more than 200 a week till you get your blood pressure under control with out blood pressure meds. Now if you need blood pressure meds and you are not even take gear then guess what you can't take gear period. It's not what you want to do it's what your body tells you what you can do. Wise the hell up. It's like these young guys on here taking 400 mgs of tren or tren at all and never did a bodybuilding show pathetic. Then I hear guys on here in there 20s cruise after there cycle. WTF is cruise go the fuck off.

What is the difference between a medication controlled 110/70 and a natural 110/70?

Like I said if you can't control your blood pressure on prescription blood pressure medication while on gear then lower the gear. If you can that's different but taking high amounts of prescription blood pressure meds to do it comes with a price. Nothing wrong with taking prescription blood pressure meds at all at low dose to keep in check and higher on big cycles if need be for a short time if your going into a show.

I misread your original comment as don't take anabolics if you need to take BP meds with them but I gotcha now. We are on the same page on this.

Really I didn't know that I am new here. Give me a break.let me guess you take tren and never ever competed.
Yes, I have take tren. However at 50 years old, not for a bit of time. Second, I did compete in powerlifting from about the age of 26 until about the age 41 when I stopped. So you shouldn't just make assumptions.

Well I save my ifbb pro card and have not competed in 9 years I am a trainer of many guys and women in the body building community. Seen it all. Done most of it. In my wary 50s also. But what do I know seems everyone has the answers here.

This thread’s been solid so far, let’s not mess it up with “just Google it, bro” energy. If you’ve got good info, links, or actual experience - drop it in. Help the crew out.

Anyway - about blood pressure meds:
Yeah, high doses can mess with your liver. It’s rare, but it happens - especially if you’re stacking a pharmacy in your bloodstream. A few examples:

1. Lisinopril – Great for BP, but in rare cases can make your liver throw a tantrum (elevated enzymes, jaundice, etc).
2. Amlodipine – Usually chill, but can bump up liver values when it’s feeling spicy.
3. Losartan – Mostly safe, but there are case reports of liver issues, just to keep things interesting.

That’s why bloodwork is non-negotiable. ALT, AST, ALP, bilirubin - your standard liver panel. Trust me, your liver will thank you later (probably by not quitting mid-cycle).
