this is nothing new… crackdowns have always existed… China is doing it to look good in the eyes of USA now that Trump is the man…shit will normalize within a few months… since when are cocaine labs being burned in the jungles of Colombia…
Sure. But the incentives are a little different for something that's $15,000 / kilo vs $300.
Anyone who can't see which way the wind is blowing is living in a fantasy world, Trump or not, machine guns and fentanyl freely being shipped to customers in the mail was never possible until the last few years, and something being done about it was inevitable.
Everyone's got an interest in closing the de minimus loophole that's allowed this. LE and parents of kids who ODd, factory owners and unions losing money to cut price imports of slave labor made goods, and the revenue hawks who see billions of packages that should be charged customs duty.
The latter, collecting tens of billions in revenue, is probobly the biggest motivator, and you can't collect duties without knowing what's in the box....
The bottom line is, if what you want is available, it's prudent to get it while it's cheap and you can, because there won't be a "final call for contraband", as those of us who used to get pharma from India discovered last April when 90% of India packs started being seized. What was supposed to be "a few weeks" never stopped.
