How should one eat while injured? Should you just eat as much as could be to aid in the healing? I would assume cutting is a bad idea since you are not lifting, and you body needs to heal? But eating too much you get fat?

Whats the best way to eat? Macro ratio?

It's actually hard to eat normally while recovering from an injury, and that seems to be the case for me. The body simply does not want to spend energy on the assimilation of food, apparently

I do have tendinitis injury, but it depends on what kind of injury you do, and if you can't train at the moment at all.
In my current situation, my macro ratios look like 40-50% carbohydrates, 25-35% protein, and 25-35% fat.
Also, I consume 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight to support tissue repair and prevent muscle loss, I did cut my protein intake cuz I'm not able to train atm.
Oh and add some anti-inflammatory foods, like: Fatty fish, greens, berries, and nuts, also I add turmeric spice to my foods.

Eat at least maintenance if now a bit higher. Your body will need the calories to heal from an injury.

Macros shouldn’t matter too much...
Get enough protein
Get your good fats
Lots of fruits and vegetables
Lots of water
Etc
Ok yes, then doing what i am is the route to go, i guess i am doing fine, just really wanting to get this going. 10 more dam weeks to go, until i can do upper body.

So will be eating my 3000 cals maintenence with 40-40-20 about then.

After all my surgeries i ate the same amount of proteins and healthy fats as they are actually used to build cells. As i was not recovering from lifting the extra proteins and healthy fats could be used to injury repair and muscle maintenance. I cut back on carbs as i was not being as active. And getting fatter does not help healing from anything i have seen. And if needed the body stores of fat that one has can be used for energy during healing as that is what nature gave us fat for.

I recently got a job during a cycle that requires 7 to 16 miles of cardio a day but averages 10 miles a day. Only one day off a week so I'm too tired to lift. Been eating the same on 600 test a week. Surprisingly I'm down a little to 192 but haven't lost much size. I have actually increased calories a bit for the cardio. Gonna start lifting again since my cardio strength is up after 5 weeks. Sucks taking off so long.
