Brain/ Cognition health/regrowth

Yes, i messed up last week, just 1 use, but OD, had to get narcaned back,

And i feel i was gone for a bit too long, that it hurt my brain
Been knowing you a while on here. I would be very hesitant to try anything for that sole purpose, and the last thing is certainly not mushrooms.

Give it time, your brain may take time to recover from a OD. I wouldn't be trying random things, nor peptides in an attempt. Sorry to hear of the relapse, I hope you can figure out how to stop them. Seems to be a recurring issue brother.

Sorry to hear this man. I would caution you like others have about using any other substance or drugs to try and fix this. My wife works in the addictions recovery field so I understand it more than most. Seek medical help and therapy instead of more drugs my man. As a former alcoholic and addict myself I feel for you because it’s a hard thing to get free from. Reach out if you need to man glad to help in anyway I can. Best of luck to you bro

I guess it take time to loose the anxiety and shame thing from a relapse. Time and duration in soberty is most eficent and relevant. Self helping group is also great thing so you can share and see that it happens, I mean the relapse. I guess in a group you will find people who were in same situation and they can share experience with you bro.

Wishin’ you all the best @jJjburton

Seems a bit too easy, but I have come across a few things in recent years, that suggest high doses of omega‘s relatively close to the occurrence of a brain injury can promote healing.

This was more in reference to head trauma, but could be worth looking into.

I was in a similar boat , my cognition deteriorate extremely bad where i was even scared myself if i could ever return too "normal".

What helped me recover was what sombody stated above.
I challenged my mind every day with activities such as reading, music production, learning new topics, building things, puzzles, art crafts, car project, literally chopping wood. Honestly anything i could find that stimulated my brain enough too be distracted and focused.

I straight up turned on "Survival mode" in my brain, Weed helped alot , i thought of micro dosing shrooms, But i wanted too recovery without it too ensure i didnt give myself more possible psychosis.

I started on alot of vitamins And herbal supplements, fish oil, lots and lots of Weed too rest and sleep!!
after a bit into "working out" my brain and a year into being clean, i could say there was a major turning point where i literally felt dramatic day too day improvement in every single function, from motor skills too behavioral functions and even speech!! That feeling alone was a high to me. THE BRAIN CAN REPAIR AND RECOVER! STAY STRONG BROTHER!

Ginseng-GinkoBiloba-Lecithin maybe some magnesium and green tea is a solid natural option if you feel the need for some extra mental boost.

Yes started some memory games and will do more in that nature, reading and such, thank you

Sorry to hear about relapse. Just kicked a nasty decade long addiction. Am now pushing 9 months clean and have zero desire to use. I went to over 15 rehabs, jail "family rehab" and nothing worked for me. I absolutely know this sounds Corny and cliche, but no one can be forced into sobriety. In my many travels and many attempts to get and stay sober I found one common denominator in those that I encountered that were sober and have stayed sober. EVERYONE TO A MAN said they absolutely "wanted" to get sober. In addiction we are absolute top of the game in manipulation and deceit, and that includes fooling and lying to ourselves. I told myself countless times I wanted to get sober. But that's essentially all I did, was say it. I did nothing to actually promote and manifest sobriety. Going to rehab and counseling are helpful, but they are "supplements" to sobriety and not the driving force to actually staying sober. Met an old timer at a rehab once and told me flatly, you will either want to get sober at some point, or you just won't. I know this sounds way too simple and again Corny and a bit trite, but for me it was absolutely true. 9;months sober is a drop in a bucket, but for myself it's been absolutely unbelievable. I went 10 yrs and was never sober more than a cpl of weeks. So the 9 months has been gratifying and motivating. Don't get me wrong, rehabs and support groups are absolutely a great means of help. I think the cumulative effect helped in my life. Just my 2 cents. I am not saying this application is for every addict. This is what my journey has revealed to me. Good luck my man! God bless!

Awesome job, good input and good to know for sure.

Memory is bad short term, but maybe at 70%. Defintly getting better. Can actually remember things of today.

How do you know you did damage to your brain ??
The brain is a terrible thing to waste.. what if you just know you win the daily battle not taking anything addictive. Progress may be slow but what you believe matters... Believe it might take just as long to rejuvenate as it took to do the 'damage'.
It's funny bc wife was born without the center of her brain (actually 1 in 4 million people have this) and she doesn't have the best balance and struggles to remember words (even tho a great vocabulary) but it's funny that I can usually understand what she means. Have you had an MRI on your brain... My wife's brain rewired itself as an infant.
Also focus on what your good at and comes easily for your mind and have hope (confident expectation of God's promises)
Sound like you want to go/get/ stay on right path
(Geniuses have so much pressure bc they can think more in depth than most.. I'm joining but can not stress but take it easy and just focus on fam weights or eating) Seth Feroce says he does cardio bc by the time he's done he's to drained to worry bout stuff. I hope your brain fog doesn't last too too long. Use a journal to track progress and only reflect on positive things. (Even write down daily tasks and over time you may find you don't have to look at it as often (confidence building) Negativity makes you forget how to be grateful. You did a log and I respect anyone with the poise to do that. God speed and I'm grateful for you brother... We all have worries and it's natural. I apologize for the novel

Yes, it turns out i did indeed cause hypoxic damage to brain from this. Its only on one side though. I have am remembering more but not 100%. What would help?
Hey bro , From a neurological point a view , The best thing would be tons of natural sleep and napping as much as you can. Is that something that could be a challenge too do? The brain repairs, rewires, and releases toxins best when asleep.

depends on the type of damage, but NAD+ (might as well add NMN supplementation) has been shown to reduce the effects of TBI. BPC-157 same thing. a lot of the stuff others have mentioned. Here's a fun one for you... Ketamine. NMDA receptor agonist. Floods your brain with glutamate, the most abundant neurotransmitter, and spurs neurogenesis. IV administration is the best option (Google for a local IV therapy joint), next up is sublingual (there's apps but I think dr smith has the cheapest), then there is nasal spray. You can either get the nasal spray compounded or get your insurance to pay for the stereo-isomer esketemine brand name Spravato.

Edit: given history of drug abuse, you may want to stay away from options that are mailed to you. Sprovato is very controlled and must be administered at the health care facility. Same with IV, administered at a place, also expensive enough to not be abused.
