It’s because he’s a narcissist. Narcissism and psychopathy often commingle in people with one of these personality disorders. Not always but often. Mostly because of the lack of empathy.

How would a psychopath feel empathy lol. Aren’t almost all serial killers psychopaths? If you don’t feel empathy for taking someone’s life it’s unlikely you feel it at all.

The definition of empathy is :the ability to understand and share the feelings of another.
In my criminal psych class my prof explained how most serial killers don't actually lack empathy- it's just that their own perogatives override their empathy: depending on their individual psychoses.
Or something to that effect.
In layman's terms- they're cognitively aware of how their actions will make other people feel, but they just don't care.
It's something more along the lines of narcissism I think.
