Race to a 455lb bench press

Not even sure what you are on about Bitcoin cowboy - I enjoy putting down clowns like you who attack me for no reason other than I was helping the other guy out with what to expect from 500mg Test. I bet you were that dick in school that stirred shit and picked on others, then when you were caught you cried wolf like a little girl and blamed the other guys for starting it all.

Now Piss off and stop downing 100mg anadrol ED and God knows what else until you can press 3 plates a side at least.

I can rep 455 - what good is this thread for me? You call 455 impressive, I call it mediocre. Aim higher .....
Next comes 5, then comes 6 !

I don't think I'll be making it. Had a major gym injury last year and shifted priorities a little since. Haven't done a blast since April 2020 either and I've dropped 30lbs bodyweight down to low 190's. Right now I'm just shooting for a 2x bodyweight bench, something that's always just barely eluded me. I'd be super stoked to hit 405x1 at this weight.
I'd be happy for 220 right now lol. Just had hernia surgery, been 7 weeks post op and just finally back in the gym semi healthy for the first time in years. Still have a partial torn rotator cuff on left side but I'm dealing. I don't think I'll be lifting heavy again, if ever. 42 now and missing so much gym time to being hurt sucks.

42 is not a sentence, I believe that everything will be fine, it just takes time and not to rush into recovery. You will recover.

I hear you, I've been having more injury time than actual training time over the last few years. I'm not squatting or deadlifting at all currently due to injuries. I did finally manage that 405x1 bench at 197lbs a few weeks ago though.

At this point I just want to look halfway decent with my shirt off and be able to bench 405+. I'm planning on staying under 200lbs from here out too. I'll be 40 next year and can't justify being heavier anymore.

Nearing the end of my cycle, 4 weeks left. Weight is up to 255. As for bench I haven’t maxed but i pyramid up to 315, 5x5. The 5th rep of 315 got stuck just over halfway up and my spotter took it lol. Maybe one day I’ll be in the 400s

It’s sad to hear all this, but life goes on and we need to change after injuries and find goals that will allow us to continue to work in the gym and delight ourselves with success.

Exactly. I was in a slump for awhile, but had to change my goals up a little. Spent some time getting leaner and now focusing mostly on bench for awhile. Planning on doing a bench only powerlifting meet soon.

Great plans and goals. I understand you in terms of falling and searching for the meaning of life and goals. Keep it up man.
