yeah my reply was more towards the other replies stating it wasnt as or lacked privacy.My question isn't weather Bitcoin is safe or not but rather how safe it is compared to a visa gift card purchased with cash
anything cash based is about as private as you can get, so your example of physically purchasing a visa gift card with cash is great privacy as a layer 1, and then you have layer 2 which is your information with the purchaser, then layer 3 which is your attachment to the shipping address.
So at the end of the day unless you're using a burner address, and purchasing on a burner computer or better yet a virtual desktop with a rotating IP running on a privately caged server in a ISO certified data center, and getting shipped to a burner address thats not tied to you in any way....
it doesnt matter if you use btc, a gift card, or a credit/debit card
