Protein vs Carbs?

For me carbs are more important as I'm an ecto so if I don't get them I get ratty and lose weight Lol BUT you need protein too other wise I don't recover quick enough. Different strokes for different folks - I know the luckier Mesomorphs and endos can do low carbs and high protein and do much better at the same time.
 
For me ive never seen a need to go over 200g/day for protein. Id rather add more carbs as for me, ectomorphic body type, carbs give me size.
 
protein for making the gains, carbs to fuel performance and the synergistic anabolic effect(s).

If you had to choose one you'd go with protein, cuz you cant build shit without it.
 
Ah, but for muscle SIZE bro?
That's a different ball game that's often overlooked and misunderstood by a lot of guys in gyms these ;)
Protein is what actually builds muscle, which is a slow process


Carbs STORES in the muscle as GLYCOGEN and water and make your muscles full and round giving it, yes, SIZE

And while your playing the game of storing as much glycogen as possible without overdoing it, protein is in the back ground repair building the muscle

My opinion is high protein (1.5-2g/lb) and high carb, high activity (moderate cardio and decent volume of training)

My current macros look like for a high day
300p 800c under 50g fat

Low day is 300p 400c 100ish fat

Well done bro. I was just trying to give some youngsters and less educated trainers here a subtle eye opener to the truth without having to say it myself :)

I had a 30 minute chat with some total dummies recently who tried to convince me that more protein=more size. When I mentioned carbs=size (not protein) they heckled me like silly teenagers and called me a bunch of names ROFL :rolleyes:
