Coinbase holding for over 2 weeks, is cashapp faster?

First time BTC buyer here, created a fully verified coinbase account and purchased about 1k BTC on Sunday Dec 12. It is now Dec 21 and Coinbase is telling me I won't be able to send my BTC anywhere until 12/28.. wtf

Is CashApp faster? Or any other suggestions? I just want to be able to spend my BTC without these ridiculous half a month holds

Using Cashapp to buy/sell BTC is practically instant, once you get your ID verified first which can take up to a day or so but in some cases can be verified in minutes.

I believe there's a $1k per day limit on debit card and 5k per week, and that there's a 3-day hold on bank ACH.

Thanks for all your help. When did they ask you for ID? Im up to the page where they ask for SSN when I try to buy BTC, which I gave, and it looks like I can buy it right now without any ID request so far

I just don't want to get locked into a similar situation like coinbase where Im under the impression I'm getting my funds quickly, but it ends up getting locked up for a period of time

When I was signing up, they asked for a picture of my driver's license. Can't remember when, but my debit is tied to buying btc.

I also have used coinbase with no issues, i recommended then to most folks who are new to crypto…

While i've yet to buy any BTC with it, the app Bitpay didn't require me to jump through any identity exposing hoops.

Their FAQ makes it sound like as long as you stay below their appointed threshold for buying or cashing out that you won't need to give them any info.

Why is Additional Verification Required?
Payments ≥ 3000 USD or refunds ≥ 1000 USD require users to provide additional verification (verification requirements may differ by region and/or amount) by obtaining a BitPay ID.

However i could be misinterpreting what i'm reading. If anyone has used them or is willing to try, please update the thread. That would be super duper!

cash app doesn't appear to be any better than coinbase, they're simply not letting me purchase my 900$ BTC. I did the ID verification and all of that. It let me purchase 10$ just fine

is there really no user-friendly platform available?
