Moving to the Darkside (about to start my first cycle)

Hey everyone (I have been lurking for quite sometime and decided to make my first post)

I am 50 years old and overall in excellent health.
  • No High blood pressure,
  • Cholesterol is good
  • No other known issues
I am
  • 5' 10"
  • 200lbs
  • about 17/18% body fat
I have been working out for three years and have made satisfactory progress. About a year ago, I started taking Testosterone injections and had had no significant side effects. The only concern my Doc has had was my blood thickness even before starting therapy. We have been managing my levels with donations and baby aspirin. About four months ago, I decided to try pellets to see if I would have any significant deviations with this type of HRT. There were no fundamental changes in my lab work or how I felt. With that being said, I am looking at starting my first cycle.

I know everyone has their views on the first cycle; however, I am pretty set on starting a 6 to an 8-week cycle of Testosterone and Anavar.
  • Since I currently have pellet inserts, I was thinking of adding an extra 150 to 200mg a week (Test E).
  • Starting off with 20mg of Anavar for the first two weeks and then increasing to 40mg a week (your thoughts)
I wanted to get some feedback on this cycle and also ask a question about PCT. Since I am currently on TRT and planning on staying on a maintenance dosage after my cycle, is a PCT necessary, and if so, what is everyone's thoughts on the type of PCT and length.

Also, I have read some conflicting information on how long I should wait before starting the 2nd cycle—looking for recommendations and a reason for the suggestion.

On a side note, I will probably also take an ipamorelin/cjc1295 peptide with this cycle. I have used this peptide combination in the past and loved the sleep that I got.

If you're going to do a short cycle then you should use test prop instead of enanthate. Also you don't need to do pct if you're on trt

Some people go by the time on = time off heuristic. But really if you're diligent with blood work, the main goal should be to make sure your blood lipids are acceptable as much as possible.
