Mask-wearing to thwart government/corporate collection and storage of facial imagery

Prior to Covid-19, privacy advocates who attempted to thwart facial recognition/mass surveillance with masks/disguises would generate a lot of suspicion. Now they just blend in...
True. Nowadays people are more concerned that others are not following the rules if they don’t wear a mask. They aren’t overly concerned about the potential spread of COVID19 but are upset that someone is not following the “rules” because they can see that they are not wearing the mask.

When this all started, I thought of the irony. Not allowed to wear a hoodie up or baseball cap in the liquor store, but had to cover your face with a mask.

There are tons and tons of cameras out there now. I feel like its impossible to walk down the street without someone being able to collect video footage documenting my whole journey. ring doorbells, personal security, businesses, law enforcement posting cameras on street corners. I can see how some would embrace the masks as a way to preserve some privacy.

Complicated facial recognition will be obsolete once they figure out a way to inject an RFID chip into your shoulder.

No need for a chip when we all carry a tracker with us all day, our phones.
Well that and if you have gotten the vaccine of course you have the microchip now and can be tracked if you listen to the right people. Luckily you won't be tracked for long because the vaccine is deadly if you listen to the right people. :D
