lacking shoulders - What helped you grow them when they werent?

Never had a shoulder problem personally, as they were always big naturally.

But what really helped me grow them is a Shoulder press machine. Do it all the time. Lots of reps, start off with whatever weight you can do 10-15 of in a row until you fail to do 10-15 reps.

Once you fail, after DOMS heal, you try again and complete the reps you couldn’t complete before. If you don’t get DOMS, you aren’t growing. It’s that simple.

After you complete those reps, add 10-20lbs. Keep progressively overloading this as much as you can.

Titan fitness sells a plate loaded variant that also helps with shoulder presses, lateral raises / deltoid growth. Load up 55lbs on each side and flap like a fucking bird. You’ll grow fast.

TLDR:

1. Deltoid / shoulder press machine
2. Do 4x10 or 4x15 of both at the highest weight you can handle. All sets of 10-15 should be 2 minutes apart.
3. Wait for DOMS to heal before doing SHIT. If you don’t get DOMS, you don’t get gains. No pain, no gain.
4. Add 10lbs to the next session and do 4x10, or as much as you can. Go to step #2 and repeat.

My shoulders are my pain point but slowly they getting there. I been doing front and side raises often along with seated shoulder presses with both barbell and db's going heavy as I can stand for as many reps considering my shoulders are pretty beat up now.

If traps are part of shoulders for you, I find shrugging and squeezing them in place and holding as hard as you can causes visible growth after 4-5 weeks. I’m barely working on them, but I have gained a solid 1 inch on my traps in that short duration.

Actually my delts are my main struggle, and traps as well. I do barbell and dumbbell shrugs fairly often and as many reps as can stand.

I have a deltoid press machine that works really well as a delt press / lateral raise combo. The shoulder press portion helps with traps too. I highly recommend it. With shipping included I think it’s like $565 or something.

My delts have blown up and I barely use the deltoid function due to my arm size. The padding for me isn’t long enough for my long arms and wrists, so it can cause injuries in my wrist that persist for a while and prevent me from doing dip push ups.

Try dips as well. I do this with my whole body.
 
I had this exactly conversation with my brother yesterday. What it need to grow stubborn delts.
My delts are one of my best bodyparts size ,wideness ,beautifull ,vascular, nice HD skin on them.
Now it wasn't always like this , when I jumped into aas things were much easier for me.

On anabolic I don't do something special for delts they just grow with normal training.

Now it's wasn't always like that.
Advice I gave to my own brother was.

Delts needs heavy loads and a fuck ton of reps to stimulate them.

Wanna see what I'm saying ?
Let's saying you do side laterals with let's say 30lbs.
Around 12-15 repetition you will burn so much and be in pain. That's the moments the set STARTS when you feel severe burning then you start count your reps.
When you finish your set you go and grab lighter dumbells and do the same then lighter again and you do the same.
You will be in so much pain you can't move you're arms you don't know where to place then to not be in pain.
Now you move to cable side laterals and do the same.

The best exercises IME are
Smith shoulder press
Military press
Side laterals
Cable side laterals.

Smith and Military use heavy heavy loads you wanna have strong shoulders. Try max out Military 1st and then change the military with the Smith press.

But on side laterals and cable side laterals you wanna do what I told you. It's very important to start counting after the severe pain burning.
Try this do this and you'll see growth on the second week.

Inflammation isn’t growth. It takes more than 2 weeks to build actual tissue
