Sleep deprivation vs gains

How would sleep deprivation affect gains? Say I sleep 4 hours a night for three nights per week, and the rest of nights I sleep 7-8hrs, and I'm bulking. On the sleep deprived days, would I be gaining more fat and less muscle than otherwise? How much would total T decrease from sleep deprivation?

Are you running a cycle? If yes, then total Testosterone would not be affected at all. It would be dependent on what you are injecting. It would not affect fat vs muscle either. You would be making recovery from training more difficult. We don't grow muscle during training, the training provides the stress to result in an adaptation and we grow during recovery. So you would likely need additional rest days during the period of shitty sleep schedule. You would still recover, it would just take longer. That's not ideal and it really defeats the purpose of running steroids (which allow faster muscle recovery).

So I can't speak specifically about recovery and gains with reduced sleep, but weight loss during reduced sleep can greatly alter the amount of muscle vs fat loss.

I remember reading a study that I will try to find about several participants losing 6 lbs over 2 weeks. Half of the group got 8 hours sleep per night and the other half got around 5 hours sleep per night.

The 8 hour sleep group lost an avg of 3 lbs fat and 3 lbs muscle whereas the 5 hour sleep group lost 1 lb fat and 5 lbs muscle on average.

Now how does this relate to gains? Idk, but I know your body is not working optimally when you're not sleeping enough

Never had the effect on me ppl claim. Grew just fine on shit sleep for years. However, now I worry about my heart health and well-being. Best to get some rest, and if something causes insomnia then drop it, isn't worth it

Idk. I have shit sleep and shitty gains. Is it because of sleep though? Idk I guess its the one thing I have never been able to fully fix. I do know there was a time I slept like a hibernating bear and thats when I was strongest. I usually make up for shitty sleep with naos but I dont have that luxury lately. You can always just spend shitloads on peptides, hgh, and cerebrolysin to make up for what your not getting in sleep haha. Everyone is different. It probably relates to the amount of healimg your body does in the rem
