Is monero worth it?

I really like the idea of monero but it seems you really limit your options with it. Are most people just using Bitcoin and I'm being a scared bitch? This will be my first use of crypto so I'm already nervous about screwing it up and Bitcoin seems more idiot proof

Monero is a cryptocurrency which focuses on being untraceable and private. Its design differs from Bitcoin's in a few key ways.The biggest difference from bitcoin is that it cannot be tracked on the blockchain.

Why not both?

If someone does not accept Monero just convert it to BTC in a fresh clean wallet and send it. Monero is still private and so is a single use BTC address. Best of both worlds?

you should research on that article and understand they can't really pinpoint on you anything if you use at least one middle address on your monero transaction. If the seller doesn't accept monero just use XMR.TO
don't send from your exchange wallet directly to the seller wallet, always use a middle wallet.
