Weightlifting shoes

I’ll eventually get to try the Reebok’s, but I just messed up my knee again (2.5 hours ago). Gotta make an apt with the ortho tomorrow then get an MRI. Looks like another injury to add to my never ending list . With my luck this will be a third surgery on this knee.
Damn that sucks, I am having issues with my right knee right now as well. Running Smolov Jr bench right now until I can get it figured out.

I’ve spent over 1/2 my life with knee pain so I’m used to it. I’m just not prepared for another surgery, and I’m not opting for a partial knee replacement. I’ll make and pin my own PRP before I consider a replacement.

Then spend your time researching, I hear pendlay do-wins are for people with extra wide feet
Yeah I was looking at the Do Wins as well. The Reebok’s seem to have a decent toe box width that I went with my normal 1/2 size over. Worst case I send them back and order the Do Wins

Look into stemcell/ PRP I started it back at the end of June for a knee. Xrays showed tissue degeneration and uneven bone. I started getting pain relief after about 3-4 weeks. I had the first prp shot a few weeks ago, one more to go. The pain is nearly gone and squats are much, much better.

After this injury, and possibly surgery, I think I’ll be buying a centrifuge and supplies to do my own. Both knees look like the moon surface under the patella. Today was not only a “time to wise up” day, but one where I’m going to start doing what I need to do to keep away from replacements. I’m 41, and the thought of it is depressing as hell.

I have a pair of Reebok Crossfit U Forms I use for high bar squat, front squat, and bench. My first pair of raised heel shoes, so nothing to compare to.

You know aside from the centerfuge it doesn’t look that hard to do. Draw a vial of blood, spin it, shoot it in the affected area. I’m sure there’s more to it but it can’t be that hard

They all function the same way, but slightly different shoe designs. So if you have a funky wide foot, they say Adidas are to small in the toe making it miserable. Then I hey have Pendlay Do-Wins, that are designed for wider feet.

I have very wide feet and they fit fine. Comfort is also kind of subjective... I wouldn't want to wear them all day but then again, they're not designed for that. They're not really that comfortable to walk to my bag for a drink of water, it's just about function.

Word

I have pendlay do-wins which are great for squats, but these days I just stick with my flat reebok crossfits instead of worrying about 2 pairs of shoes.

Who here has used weightlifting shoes? Which ones have you had, and what did you like/not like about them?

I’m looking to purchase a pair, and have an idea of what I think may work for me, but I wanted opinions from anyone who has or currently uses them.

One thing that I’m thinking about is the stiff plastic heal raise vs hard foam. Also if anyone had opinions on the 0.6-1” hight heal raise.

Thanks for chiming in guys.

I’m all about my black high top chucks.

I grabbed the Reebok Legacy Lifters for $105 NIB. Fit is pretty good. Had to loosen up the laces around the toe box for the width. Overall they feel great. Stupid heavy for a shoe, but feels solid and anchored.
Almosy magnetic, is how I describe them lol
