So I'm gonna do a push pull in like 3 months. I've been training bench with my Strong elbow sleeves for awhile now just cuz it's more comfortable. But with a meet coming up should I drop them? Thx dudes

Thx dudeI would suggest doing whatever you need to do to remain as pain free as possible throughout the year. Worry about being meet specific a month or two out. You don't want to end up taking unplanned deloads during your meet prep because your elbows hurt so bad you can't bench.
I thought about getting some elbow sleeves, but I've always been fearful about using something that I couldn't use in a meet. If I ever end up competing.

Dude YES. use them.. whenever I squat low bar now, I use them and it takes away at least 50% of the pain. I try to stay away from low bar now, though, since my high bar is just as powerful—I’d rather just train that up.@CAswole
Do you squat low bar? Have you used them for squats. I think low bar squatting fucks up more elbows than bench. Been thinking about wearing my sleeves for squats and see if it helps my elbows
I squat almost exclusively with a buffalo bar or safety squat. I have knee and elbow sleeves and love em both.@CAswole

All good here my friend. What's up bro thank you!
I was just watching some videos by Chris Duffin and I’m seriously contemplating purchasing a duffalo bar. They seem to relieve a lot of the major joint issues people have when squatting and benching.I squat almost exclusively with a buffalo bar or safety squat. Squatting is much more comfortable and transfers perfectly to your competition squatI was just watching some videos by Chris Duffin and I’m seriously contemplating purchasing a duffalo bar. They seem to relieve a lot of the major joint issues people have when squatting and benching.
I wear them for tendonitis, also. They’re perfect for thatI wear strong elbow sleeves also. Never noticed it adding any weight to my 1rm, but it certainly makes my elbows feel better on heavy presses and skull crushers. My last meet I was even warming up with them on and just took them off on my way up to the platform (had horrible tendonitis at the time). Seemed to work fine for me
I’ve had good luck with the Strong Elbow sleeves but haven’t used them constantly. The knee sleeves seemed to get loose with use.I am about to grab my 1st pair of elbow sleeves for the same reason. Low bar squats & benching. I am looking at the Mark Bell Strong sleeves. I like the wrist wraps and knee sleeves they make. I'm also in meet prep. 3.5 weeks out. Hoping these help me keep moving big weight in training without pain.
