Construction thread... Show off your work!

Around here the city's are demanding rust free Bar now.

It's the dumbest thing I've ever heard, we are seeing much more cracking of concrete members as a result of lack if adhesion to the bar.

Cant fix stupid

yeh ive seen engineers condemn bars for being to rusty. we had to wire brush them and then high pressure water clean.. mind you the bars were flaking of rust..

but to have 'rust free bars' would be hard to achieve.. what do you have a 3 day window once its delivered onsite before it got surface rust..

maybe they should specify for galvanised bar

Im contractor and my speciality is flooring, specifically hard surfaces (ceramic, LVP, VCT, hard wood, etc)First pic is LVP that got grouted. Second pic is a ceramic backsplash.

Looks great

I just got my hands on sokme BEAUTIFUL 2' × 4' Marble slabs.
Going to lay those bad boys in a month or so.

Just have to pour and frame the house first.

Kind of sucks, I'm building this house pretty much by myself on weekends, pain in the ass.
I'll take some pics this weekend.. ran into some nonsense like step footing that slowed be down.... I hate step footing.

Alls got say is fuck pt cables I hated running that shit I would rather throw deck in fact fuck rebar bent over tying all day

i havent done alot of PT but when i did it i enjoyed it. did some cool macalloy bars which we stressed to 72 tonne. solid bar stretched 23mm when we tensioned them

as for rebar i love that shit as much as laying deck.. out of all of it i prefer to for walls, columns and lift shafts
