What’s up y’all?! Just relaxing right now between the prejudging and finals and decided to update everybody on what’s gone on the last week. Essentially, complete insanity. The carb depletion and water and sodium loading went as planned and I dropped a ton of weight. When I began the carb depletion, water and sodium loading on Saturday 8/17 I was 170.7#. At the end of that process, Wednesday 8/21, I was 164.4#. Then Wednesday we reduced sodium to normal, water from 3 gallons to 2 gallons, and consumed these macros:
3546 cals, 71 F, 338 C, 388 P. The weight started to fall off rapidly at this point. I was 160.8# upon waking on Thursday 8/22, cut fluids down to 10 oz water at 4 meals and 10 oz coffee at 2 meals, and followed this macro profile: 3,968 cals, 88 F, 444 C, 361 P. Friday 8/23 I woke up at 156.3# and at this point we knew I’d be a lightweight. We cut water even more, down to 8 oz coffee meals 1 - 3 and 6 oz water at meals 4 - 7. I took half a thiazide with meal 3 and 7 on Friday and followed these macros: 3461 cals, 103.5 F, 390 C, 253 P. I woke up today, show day, at 153.5#, took half a thiazide and ate a meal at 530 am. Went to weigh ins for 8 am and weighed in at 154.1# just inside of lightweight. Then we really started filling up. I have no clue what I stepped on stage at but I was PEELED at prejudging. See the photos attached. I’ll follow up with another update sometime soon with more photos and info about the night show. Looks like I’ll take the open lightweight since there’s only 1 other guy and I brought a high level of conditioning. Super excited and this has been an amazing first experience. Thanks to everybody who followed along!

Congrats man! You did an excellent job on your prep. Your posing improved tremendously as well. Definitely a crazy improvement from your first pictures. Looks like your well on your way to taking some more wins in your future. Your discipline and consistency absolutely shows in your stage pics and you did a great job as well with your coach. Again congrats !

Congrats on your first stage experience man. Well done with executing the plan. Best of luck at finals. Be sure to post that victory meal!
Thanks brother! Definitely was an amazing experience and one I’ll never forget - preparing for a bodybuilding show is definitely a life changing event. Was too enamoured by the food to even remember to take pics but Saturday night and all day Sunday were glorious - it was a long time since I really got to enjoy food and just eat what I wanted, when I wanted. Thanks for following along and all the tips, support, and encouragement throughout my prep!

Thanks man! Very happy and proud of the package that we brought to the stage for sure. We always want better but overall I’m satisfied with the end result of all that hard work and discipline. Looking forward to packing on some muscle and bringing an even better, more muscular physique to the next show I do. Thanks for all the support and encouragement!

What’s up everybody?!

The show was an unbelievable experience. I ended up coming in even harder and dryer at finals with a tad more fullness. I took the lightweight class in open bodybuilding and got to compete in the overall posedown which was awesome. I was approached by a ton of fellow competitors, judges, event organizers, and audience members and congratulated on the level of conditioning I brought to the stage. The general consensus was that I was far and away the most peeled guy in the show - that made me very proud cause conditioning is the aspect we can control most and I really wanted to bring my absolute best in that area and I feel that I did just that. I’ve attached photos from the finals to this post.
Saturday night and Sunday were exhibitions in food consumption lolol. I had been craving wings for weeks so after the show my girlfriend and I ordered a whole bunch of wings and curly fries to my house and just spent the night relaxing, snacking, rehydrating, and watching some movies. Sunday I woke up, did some fasted cardio, then just enjoyed my day. Cooked some eggs, bacon, and French toast for breakfast, then went to a local pizza place for some fried calamari, cheesy bread, and pizza. We saw “Once Upon A Time in Hollywood” and snacked out on some movie theater classics (popcorn, pretzels, cookie dough bites, etc.). Spent the rest of the night at home watching TV, had some BBQ chicken and mashed sweet potato for dinner, followed by a night of snacking on homemade cookies that my girlfriend baked. It was so nice to enjoy a day free from the regimented lifestyle of prep.
As far as future plans, my coach and I have elected to forgo the next show I was planning to do on September 28th. We were satisfied with the level of conditioning I brought to the stage at this show and we feel there are more potential downsides then upsides to another 5 weeks of dieting and putting my body through a second peaking protocol in a month. So, we have decided execute a 6 week rebound, give or take a week or 2 depending on progress and how I feel. Perhaps the biggest positive to this is not having to extend the amount of time I’m on higher dosages of gear to pull of a successful rebound and being able to come off the harsher compounds quicker then expected (Tren, Winstrol, halo). Following the rebound phase, I’ll cruise for 8-10 weeks starting in early-mid October and aim to get my offseason in full swing by the new year, assuming bloodwork is good to go by then.
And that completes this log! I will be starting a new log to document my rebound and look forward to making some substantial gains over the next few weeks. Thank you to everybody who followed along for my first bodybuilding show prep - the support, advice, guidance, and encouragement I got from this community was invaluable and I’m super grateful to have this resource to log my process and hold myself accountable.

Now it’s time to grow!!!

Ripped ! Good job @Juicestin !

Damn dude. You really pulled everything out and showed up with a great package. Can’t wait to see you pack on 20lbs through the off season.

Hey everybody!

I just saw that professional photos from the show I competed in were posted online and I thought it would be cool to share them here. They are WAY BETTER quality then the cell phone shots my girlfriend took so I feel they are worth posting since they display both my weaknesses and my strengths far more clearly. Thanks again to all the members who gave me support, encouragement, guidance, and inspiration throughout my first bodybuilding show prep!

Bro when you get this peeled again order some real posing trunks; show off them glutes!

Can assist when the time comes.

Crazy grainy. Can tell you were overweight af. Great transformation!
Thanks man - I was very pleased with the physique we brought to the stage and even more proud when I take into consideration that I was 335# and hadn’t worked out in years less than 14 months prior to the show. Nobody believes me when I tell them how fat I was until I show them my beginning pics cause they’re like you don’t look like you were ever obese lol. Everybody at the show was like how did you get so grainy and get your skin so tight and thin when you were just so fat lol. And, honestly, it was pure luck - I didn’t do anything to assist with loose skin or stretch marks I just trained and dieted my ass off and I got the hard, tight, grainy, dry look I was hoping I’d achieve. Thanks for following along throughout my prep and for the kind words - I sincerely appreciate it!

Lolol I know man I was really disappointed that I couldn’t fully show off my glutes cause they were striated from top to bottom!!! I ordered a pair of trunks from CJs but I originally planned to compete September 28th and by the time I decided to do this show it was too late and she couldn’t get them to me in time. So, I had to use a pair of shitty run of the mill Jed North trunks lol. Do you use CJs or another company?

Well done brother...I was 320lbs in 2015. I am up and down now depending on cycle between 200 and 230, lowest was 184 spring 2018. Still carry fat on belly and chest and sure to have loose skin if I ever get that last bit dropped.
