BUILDING A BEAST

Workout today, went straight from hospital to gym :D

Slanger bench 265 6x3 @8RPE
4" block pulls 455x6 425 5x3
Incline bench 165 5x5
BOR 135 5x5
GHR 3x16
Back extensions 3x16

Overall a great session for having mystery drugs in me and spending the night in the hospital so I'm happy with this. Did the 455x6 block pull cause a sponsor wanted a IG video for giving me new swag otherwise I would have done 425 for 6x3 but sall good

So ironically I'm now on steroids so guess trainings going to be better lol. It's unknown what's causing this but I've been given epi pens for when my airway closes up and lots of drugs to take until they figure it all out. They were meh on the idea of me training but unless it starts to get worse after my Thursday night training Ima keep training. The hives are down significantly in size although my whole body is still covered at least I don't look like a topographical map anymore.

Camera quality doesn't capture it that's only like 1/4 of the amount that's really on my torso and it's way way worse on my legs and back.

Also that's a progress pic for being 175lb morning weight

So finally getting rid of most of my symptoms from the hospital visit during the weekend and had a good living session. Moved back to low bar squat now that my back squat doesn't have any weak link and it's just a strength thing. Still going ATG low bar though I won't cut depth until 12 weeks out from provincials next year.

Squats 315 6x3 @7.5RPE
Power cleans 185 6x2
Front squats 225 4x4
OHP 115 5x5
Hex bar farmer carry 350 6x40m
Did a ROMWOD after the workout they are like 20 mins a piece fairly decent did a one week free trial so gonna try them for a week before I decide if it's worth it for 13bucks a month... but to be honest I've had Netflix for like 4 years so I probably should invest in something more worth while then Netflix for my body.

Training weight 175lb

Clean&jerk 185 6x2 nothing new still want to nail the form. Although I did all sets without my 2pood belt to focus on my lumbar stability more

Back extensions 3x16 get blood flowing for lower back recovery for tomorrow's block pulls.
45min stretch and team meeting for my new powerlifting club.

Half decent workout today, even though slanger bench was feeling smooth the only other person in the gym that I mistakenly asked for a spot just in case wouldn't stop touching the bar so I lightened the load by 20lb so I wouldn't need a spot at all cause might as well if he was going to take 20lb off of my top end anyways.

Slanger bench 275 2x3 255 4x3
3" block pull 495x1 @8RPE 435 6x3
Incline bench 175 5x5

Going for a afternoon hike gonna try and get out 15km before sunset then turn around

@RodgerThat
Bad handies are almost equally as bad. A couple weeks ago I had doe thing like 12x3 or 9x3, asked a dude who competes who just started coming to my gym for a handie. Literally picked the weight up as much as he could and dropped it in my hands. He was benching on the bench next to me so it was convenient. Luckily I found my buddy for the rest of them. Guy kept looking over and asking me if I was good for the next 5 sets. I think he got the idea.

Don't ever touch my fucking weight unless I completely stall out. Ever.

I always tell every spotter unless I say "yup" regardless of how much I'm struggling don't touch the bar cause I've got it. I know when I'm going to miss or with the slanger if I get out of my groove so I don't need someone hover handing or touching my barbell.

You're the smoothest, least furry, bear I know :p

Looking good man. Love how the Oly lifts are included in the training.
Ya I dig the speed the oly lifts get me and they keep ya humble man. I wish I could find a legit program for a crossover style of oly and powerbuilding cause I'm programming everything myself and have been since I did Sheiko and sometimes I think I'm just tailoring it to what I'm decent at as opposed to what would progress me better but it's hard to get prospective without completing a training block then looking at the numbers to see.

Hey Brother this looks killer. Read the first few pages but running out of time.
This is KINDA similar to what I’ve been working on lately. I feel it’s a good all around way to be- not too big and slow strong enough for what the fuck ever and much stronger in many areas than most[emoji3]. My schedule is 4 on with me being gone 13+ hours a day so I switched back to 5/3/1 m-t then crossfit style stuff fri and Sunday or Saturday and Sunday. For the weekend stuff I’ve been laying out my own stuff and trying to beat myself up with whatever I really hate and suck at. Jump ropes, burpees, cleans, box jumps, but also shit I’m good at. 21/15/9 of like bench at 225 squats, burpees. Been adding in a lot of running also all stuff under 1/2 mile if rounds.
Weight is still in the 250 range I’m not going to break any strength records but my endurance is growing [emoji1360].
Don’t forget to keep challenging yourself brother.

I'm gonna run some ideas by you when I have the time to sit down and give it thought. Maybe you'll find something that works for you.

Glad to hear my meso OG brother is still rocking similar philosophies. 250lb man doing a 21/15/9 with burpees must look intimidaying as shit. I am really enjoying the day to day benefits of the style of training though too everything in life feels easier and I don't feel destroyed all the time either due to not benching 4x a week or anything like that. My individual lifts probably could increase faster but not with the same lifestyle I want to live and that's what it's more about for me too. Anyways thanks for checking in man always nice to see you poking your mug in and touching base

Keeping yourself pleased is what it’s all about man. I really don’t care to be any bigger than I am,maybe leaner but that will come one day.

So what’s made you come off gear? Career? Chicka? I gots ta know[emoji23]

The lovely female of mine doesn't like anything along those lines so when I became serious with her I dropped it entirely. I do enjoy not having side effects as well though and my goals don't really require the juice, it would be nice and help for some aspects but seriously hinder others
