Prepped white beans - off to the freezer

All set, 2 pounds of white beans (they're probably rassiss) and a full garlic and a full onion, both chopped together bits, together with solid helpings (tablespoonful or so) of curcumin and cinnamon.

Off to the freezer. Each one becomes the base or side dish for dinner. Add some meat, veggies, and it's dinner!

About 34gr of protein, 90gr of carbs (45% fibers), and zero fat per container. I'm not counting the garlic, onion and spices. About 350 calories.

Unfortunately beans and lentils by theirselves are incomplete amino acid (protein) sources (they lack certain amino acids)....add in some rice or cornbread for a complete protein meal...;) ~Ogh

Beans are looking good bro!
I would suggest only prepping 3-4 days worth of meals. Why would you re freeze fresh food?
Just eat that shit fresh!!!

Because it comes in 2lb bags, and that's what my cast iron pot holds + I don't like to spend more time in the kitchen than I have to :-)

I add some kind of MEAT (he he) and usually either spinach and/or broccoli to the dinners. With a protein bar after if I still feel hungry.

I get it man.
It's very old school.
Most meat is flash frozen when shipped.
Then a lot of people stock up on it when it's cheap and re freeze it. Then thaw it again to cook it then freeze it again.
Just weird to me..

No meat in those containers. I'll do that on the fly. Beans just take so long to prep - soak overnight, cook for an hour. Not realistic to do during the week.
